I absolutely hate doing laundry. Well, I don’t mind actually doing the washing and drying but I hate sorting and folding, Uggh! Luckily the Consumer King doesn’t mind doing it. Which is good because if your house is anything like my house, then you know what I am talking about. Clothes on the bathroom floor, sitting on the bedroom floor right next to the hamper etc, etc. You get the picture. We don’t have a laundry room so we have to fold our laundry on the couch in the living room which I absolutely hate. We’re hoping to start house hunting in Jan. and eventually have a laundry room. Although I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way I do, some of you may actually like doing laundry (wishful thinking LOL!). I thought it would be fun to share some laundry tips with you and then see what laundry tips you may have to share as well.
Hate running out of dryer sheets? You can make your own dryer sheets at home.
Make your own dryer sheets: Use your favorite Tupperware container and use 2 parts water and 1 part of your favorite liquid fabric softener. Take 2 kitchen sponges and cut them in 1/2. Toss them in and let them soak over night. When done, ring one out and toss in the dryer. They can be reused over and over and just think how many dryer sheets you can get out of a bottle? Be sure and keep it air tight and you can color code your sponges so you can remember which ones need to soak. For more tips with dryer sheets click here!
White Vinegar: White Vinegar can be used in laundry to help fight stains and help with musty odors and pet odors. It works with your normal detergent to help fight stains and I have heard it also works as a fabric softner.
Lint Filters: Cleaning out your lint filter after every load is very important. Lint can build up and cause a house fire. It’s also a good idea to seasonally check your hoses to make sure there is no lint build up.
Clean your appliances: Don’t use harsh chemicals on your washer and dryer. Some of them have baked on enamel and could easily chip. Use a mild dish soap to keep them clean.
Salt? I have heard that adding a 1/2 cup of salt to your wash can help keep new fabric colors from running? But I am not sure what the effects it would have on your machine. Has anyone tried this? I’ve also heard it helps to clean your iron and adding it to your strach will keep clothes from sticking to your iron.
These are just a few tips. I have been chosen with a few other bloggers to work with Clorox and Collective Bias to develop the Complete the Cycle Laundry Regimen. They gave us a GC card that I took to Walmart and purchased my normal laundry products and then documented my laundry routines. Once they gathered all the information from us they created the laundry guide. It’s basically a cheat sheet chocked full of tips. I would love for you to check it out and tell me what you think!
Here is where the exciting part comes in! Thanks to Collective Bias and Clorox I will be giving away 5 Laundry kits !

I get the guys to bring the laundry baskets downstairs for me. My son helps with separating of the clothes. I load and wash and dry. Fold in between loads, until we are done. We do laundry on Sundays so we dont have to worry about it the rest of the week. Pick a day and make it your day.

My husband does the schlepping of the laundry from the 2nd floor to the basement & back. I’m in charge of folding & putting away. Not a bad deal. My tip is to put anything delicate in a laundry bag so it doesn’t get damaged by other clothes that may have zippers, etc.

I know it sounds crazy, but I fold my laundry as I take it out of the dryer. It eliminates a lot of wrinkles. And instead of ironing, I spray wrinkled clothes (the ones hubby doesn’t fold right away) with water and smooth out the wrinkles.

Hello.
Wow. Well, first I have to find all of the dirty laundry! My guys usually throw it everywhere…
I sort it into piles on the floor based on color and type.
I then carry it all down the stairs.
First I choose the temperature and size depending on the load. I like to put the soap in first to combine with the water while I look for any stains. I have tried spray and an English stain removing bar for the stains. After the first load is finished washing, I take each piece out, shake it and set it into a seperate pile based on if it will be dried or not. I hang t-shirts and delicates and everything else goes into the dryer.
Some loads I use a liquid softener and sometimes a dryer sheet. I even have different soaps for different laundry.
Now that I hear it out loud…HELP!!
I have no routine, that is my problem. I just wait and wait until my molehill becomes a mountain! My tip is if you find yourself overwhelmed by the sheer volume of laundry you have, grab a roll of quarters and head to the nearest laundromat and do them all at once. Then by doing at least one or two loads a day you can avoid the mountain effect.

My laundry regime is i do 1 to 2 loads a day – if i don’t i get behind and then there will be an all day laundry day, which in my opinion is no fun. I sort and have different baskets for the different loads, i do this every time i place dirty laundry in the laundry room. Also my best tip is to fold and put away clothes as soon as they are dry otherwise it is easy to forget about them and you have wrinkled clothes that are sitting on a chair for days,

I try to keep to a schedule (blame my grandmother for this) with the main hoe items. Sheets, towels ect.. every Saturday for example. That way everyone knows what to expect. This seems to work well for us. My tip would be to fold right away if at all possible. If you don’t it just becomes a giant pile that you don’t want to do.

My laundry routine includes pulling everything from the bathrooms and sorting into whites, darks, etc. And then hauling it all to the laundromat! Instead of using dryer sheets I bought this set of “Dryer Balls” which I replace yearly … there pretty simple and they do just as good a job!

Since I now live alone I don’t really have more than a couple loads a week, so not a real routine. After raising 6 kids you can imagine that I’m in laundry heaven!! The amazing thing is that all the laundry is magically in the hamper~ not dropped all over the house! Priceless!
One laundry tip? The lints traps in dryers get clogged with residue so air doesn’t flow freely. You should wash the lint traps every few months in warm soap and water, then rinse and dry. If you try running it under water first you’ll see that its clogged and water doesn’t flow thru—so neither does air. It’ll save you money and drying time.

Honestly my laundry regimen is when I have time lol. I initially had it all mapped out but it didn’t work out that way. I myself do not have a laundry room as well. I have a like a laundry closest. I bought a laundry hamper that rolls and has three sections. So I try to keep our white, light and dark clothes seperate. I also have a car’s hamper for each of my boys. They are very good about putting their clothes in their hamper.
After I wash the clothes I have my boys fold their own clothes. They are young but they do a really good job. I think they feel very responsible for folding their own clothes.
So my tip is not how to create a great detergent or anything like that. My tip would be to take out time to train your children how to fold their own clothes. Then you have less clothing to fold, bonding time with your children, and your teaching them how to do things for themselves.

There are two hampers in our house. I usually do a load of dark clothes every three days. On those days, I start the washing machine putting in the liquid detergent and the fabric softner. When it is filled with water, I add the clothes. When it has finished, they go in the dryer. When they are finished drying (I hate ironing so I try to get to them as soon as they are done.), I fold on our bed. It sits high, so there is no bending over. My dresser is close by, so it is easy to put my clothes away. Closet is just a few steps away, so hanging items are easy to get hung up right away. My husband and son put away their own folded laundry. Once a week, I do whites and light colored clothes.
pscole3467 at gmail dot com
I try to do at least one load of laundry a day so I’m not forced to do it all at once. I have a rolling laundry basket and it is very easy to roll a load at a time to the laundry room. I try to fold and hang clothing as I take it out of the dryer. My tip is I use cheaper brands of laundry detergent for my rugs and non-clothing items, I use the pricier detergents for clothing.
I usually do laundry on Saturday’s, I don’t know how this ever started. Check all pockets before you wash, especially of little boys. I have washed many interesting things before and am amazed at how much he keeps in his pockets, it would weigh me down. Always check pockets is my tip!
My laundry regimen is very simple-3 baskets:one for whites, one for colors, one for delicates. When the basket’s full I do the laundry.
One tip-Don’t dry your clothing on a high setting. It shortens the life of your clothes.

Routine: I have a laundry schedule! Everyone has a day. Although my youngest is too little to “do” he still has to bring his basket down and help. There is 1 day a week where everyone has to strip and re-make their beds, so that’s linen day.
Tip: I love Baking Soda instead of dryer sheets! It’s cheaper and doesn’t have any extra build-up or chemicals on my clothes.

I’m like you, I hate the folding and putting away of the clothes.
I try to do at least one load of laundry a night, so I’m not overwhelmed with it on my days off. I wash then dry, then send clothes piles to the kid’s rooms and have them hang or fold them.
A great stain remover that I’ve recently found is a cleaning product not made for clothes. It’s called Fantastik. It works great for stains, just spray it on then wash. Or if it’s a stubborn stain, let soak for a bit. It’s on the “green” list too.

My laundry routine is between my husband and I, he helps me a lot with the laundry and our kids help put away their clothes and they like to fold the washcloths and towels. Normally we do 1 to 2 loads a day because I can’t stand looking at clothes in the basket.
My only laundry tip would be to do a load a day just to keep from getting overwhelmed.
I follow you on Twitter.
I must say that i am completely blessed to have a wonderful fiance that does the laundry for our household. Unfortunately though i have to do the folding and putting away myself (wich i too hate i’m right there w/you Melissa!!) My son is responsible for keeping the clothes in the hamper rather than on the bathroom floor that is one of his chores. My b/f carries down the clothes sorts them and washes them. I fold and put away. A majority of the time i get i’d say 3 quarters of the way done and the rest sits in the basket for about a week! lol i am SO guilty and my b/f hates it even more than i am guilty!! I think i could really benefit from winning this one!! Crossing my fingers!! I don’t have any tips as i have no idea how to wash the laundry without getting spots on it or shrinking everything enough to fit my 3 year old nephew! haha Although i am absolutely head over heels for the new Bounce dryer bar. Which leads to the fact that my old dryer sheets have NOT taken a back seat! I now use them as a hair/dust remover off of vertually EVERYTHING i have never been so pleased with my dryer sheets. All that hard to get up hair around the bathroom sink is no longer a huge chore one swift wipe and it’s up and in the trash!
I subscribe to the blog.
My laundry regime is simple:
1. wake the kids at 6:15 am to get ready for school. As they’re getting ready I sort the clothes.
2. Once everyone is gone I simply wash and dry the rest of the laundry throughout the day.
3. Fold and sort them in neat piles on the dining room table until right before dinner.
4. When the kids are done with homework we each grab piles of undies, jeans and other pieces of clothing and begin the process of hanging and putting away in drawers.
5. The next moring it starts all over again.
My quick tip would be to sort the laundry; making sure you don’t forget wallets, socks stuck inside the legs of your jeans and take out any coins. Reason; it’ll all ruin…:)

I have laundry day each Monday and it usually spills into other days, too (with six kids and all). I gather it all up, sort, wash, fold — my two-year-old son likes to tell me who each article of clothing belongs to. Everyone old enough has to put his/her own clothes away.
My newest discovery, thanks to my friend, is to use peroxide to get out blood. Let it bubble then rinse out with cold water before washing.

Sorry, I’ve got nothing for you. I’m terrible at laundry. I’ve only got one laundry basket so I sort it out as I need to wash it.
I guess my best tip is that folding clothes is a lot more fun if you’re watching TV?
My laundry routine is so different now than it has been for the last 40 years. My husband and I, travel in our RV 8 months of the year. So for the first time in 40 years he is helping with the laundry, (my tip should be, do not let your husband sort the laundry). I sort the laundry (remember the tip), he carries them to the car and we have to go to the laundramat (ugh, next RV will have a washer and dryer). I then proceed to fill the washers with my nicely sorted clothes. Then we also spend around 12 -15 dollars to wash clothes. I cannot believe that most washers run around $2.00. Then I put them in the commercial dryers, that will definitely dry your clothes, but never seems to remove the wrinkles. Then we fold and hang and bring them home and put away our laundry and do it all again next week.
My tip is that hydrogen peroxide is very good to use in your white clothes in place of bleach. It will also take our many stains, including blood.
I use Clorox Color Safe Bleach, Green Burst Snuggle fabric softner, and All free and clear laundry detergent. My one tip: once a month clean out your washer and dryer. The grime builds up and just because it is a cleaning appliance doesn’t mean that there aren’t parts that get clean (the center where in some washers holds liquid softner is a major place where it can build up.).
I’m a Google Reader subscriber
I try very hard not to let laundry build up and usually do a load or two every day. It works for me to put a load of wash in at bedtime. In the morning, I can start the coffee and go downstairs to shift it to the dryer and after breakfast that load of clothes is dry. That load waiting to be dried in the am, is the easiest to get done. When I have 2 loads, they are sorted dark and light. If there’s just one load then the one or two items that just can’t take a mixed load get set aside for next time.
I put shirts/pants on hangars directly out of the dryer because I do not like to iron. We use unscented detergent and dryer sheets because of my daughters allergy issues. I use spray on for any stains, sometimes letting it set overnight to go in the next load.

The routine I have if you could call it that is:
1. gather all the clothes from every room in the house {I mean every room} Yes we have a hamper. No, no one uses it.
2. Place clothes in almost no order in the washer. {I use to separate them but now I only separate a few articles}
3. Start the water and add detergent. {Haven’t really found one I like yet}
4. Once cloths are done, place them in dryer add one sometimes two fabric sheets.
5. Dryer ends and if I have empty baskets place clothes in baskets. {Most of the time I have both laundry baskets full of clean clothes and the dryer full of clean cloths and never really fold them.}
I have just recently {yesterday} fold and hung up every piece of laundry I have in the house except the cloths my family was wearing this took me far to long because they had been piling up in baskets and spilling over onto the floor where I than had to iron most of them to put them away.
I wish I had a tip for laundry but I will have to learn how to make it easier for me first.
I do laundry once a week and my tip is to use laundry sheets with essential oils. My clothes smell so nice.

Every Sunday I start my laundry routine, starting with splitting colors, whites and delicates and towels. It takes me all day to get the routine done but my favorite soap is on at 11pm on Sunday so I have something great to watch while I do all that folding!
My tip is to NEVER put damp clothes/towels in to the laundry basket. If you have a dirty towel hang dry it before setting it aside in the laundry room for laundry day!

I do what I can, when I can. It isn’t a very good system cause my dad needs a clean pair of socks before tomorrow but being still young, I like to do a lot of other things to. My advice, if the wash is piled to the ceiling, thank God when your sister has a day off school.

I really don’t have a regular routine when it comes to laundry. I just make sure that we never run out of clean underwear! Regarding a tip, my favorite is to use a homemade wrinkle release so that I can do as little ironing as possible. There are several recipes out there which are essentially about a half to a capful of liquid fabric softener mixed with about 2 cups of water in a spray bottle. Spray it on your clothing let dry for several minutes.
I do one or two loads every day. With a family of five, that just works better for me than a “laundry day.” I gather up laundry downstairs and the kids are in charge of bringing their stuff downstairs to the laundry room, then we do the same when we’re putting away the clean clothes. I’ve color-coded some collapsable mesh laundry hampers in the laundry room to help the kids (and hubby) sort. I like to use mesh hampers that can be collapsed and put away when we have company.
I would love to have some amazing answer as to what my laundry routine is but alas I am a laundry failure… I do it when I can where I can but am fortunate enough to have a laundry room! My best tip is that if you wash clothes and forget to move them to the dryer all you have to do is add a cup of vinegar and do a rinse cycle and voila the stinky smell is gone:)
have no real routine- it is a chore, and have to be in the mood. I generally let the clothes sit in the washer to air a bit before going in the dryer and shaking out clothes as they come on out. I wash husbands clothes separate because he wears alot of shirts and just wash those separate from it all.

I love doing laundry! Nothing more satisfying then the smell of clean put away clothes.
I wash all clothes that need 2 be ironed together(after sorting by color of course)
I will pull them out when they are still damp that way I can iron them without starch(it works great and saves money)
When I have new clothes that are dark colored I will run a rinse cycle with vinegar this help sets the color so it won’t run.
I always try and treat stains immediately and dawn soap works great!
My laundry center is in the basement but our bedrooms and bathrooms are on the main and second floors. Getting the laundry in the proper place is VERY difficult. Short of a massive remodel, my trick is laundry baskets. I’ve got them EVERYWHERE. In the living room, hallways, bedrooms, even next to my dishwasher. When the basket is full, it goes to the basement for sorting and washing.

I don’t really have a routine, I wash once a week and not everything in the same week. I sort clothes by color, I wash towels separately by color and sheets by themselves.
I’m a blog subscriber
My laundry cycle varies depending on whose laundry it is. For me, it’s off the hanger, wear, into the laundry sorter, through the wash and back on the hanger right out of the dryer so I don’t have to iron anything.
My hubby pretty much only wears rock and concert t-shirts when not at work. All his shirts go into the “delicates” bin after he wears them then through the wash in a delicates load when he has enough built up. Then into a delicate dry cycle and onto hangers immediately.
No, my teenager daughter has a whole different manner of handling her laundry. It’s into the wash, leave it there until one of the “rents” needs the washer and throws them into the dryer then into her clean clothes basket. From there they go into her room – all over her room – until they end up back in the washer.
My tip – my hubby has oily hair and also works a sweaty job, so he gets oil and sweat buildup on his shirts at the neck and armpits. Once he starts his load of shirts, if I’m home I sneak in and add a cup of ammonia to the load to help dissolve the built up sweat and deodorant on the shirts to they don’t discolor at the armpits and neck. He would freak if he saw me do it because he’s so sure the ammonia is bad for the shirts (it’s not).

I sort by whites, colors, jeans and towels.I add tide and make sure the machine fills with water ,add detergent and a teaspoon of black pepper(it keep the clothes bright).Second rince I add fabric softner. When the clothes are done I placed the shirts and pants on hangers and place them on the line to dry. It makes it easier to put away when ,all I have to do is put them in the closet

http://chaotickristy.blogspot.com/2009/08/why-is-laundry-so-hard.html
With my almost 6 month old baby, I usually drop everything from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor, literally. Then I pick everything up to place in the wash. When everything is dry, I carry it over to one of the bedrooms to fold. Lately, things have been traveling to the living room in their own baskets. The only part of laundry I don’t like is folding! The other hard part is finding a fabric softner that isn’t scented.

I do a load almost everyday. Because of that, I don’t even bother sorting other than stained whites and cloth diapers. The best tip I ever got was to hang dry when you can. It makes all the difference to our bills and the clothes are actually really soft.
I buy my laundry detergent from the dollar store. This is my laundry tip. I try to do laundry very early in the morning and hang them. By the time my husband gets home, everything is dry and we fold them together.

i live an in apartment complex and have to use the laundry room. I find that if you can, go in the middle of the day. Sure its a little undesireable, but you basically have the room to yourself(no one can steal you stuff if they aren’t there). Also, i sort my laundry by basket, black baskets = colors and white basket= whites, that way i never have to sort when i get to the laundry room.

Hmmm, I’m not seeing my post regarding my laundry routine, where’d it go?? I’ll repost it here, hope that’s fine.
I do laundry every single day, if I didn’t, the next day would be like a monsoon of wash! I normally gather all the wash in the mornings after everyone has showered, and separate into lights, darks, and colors, and then gentle cycle. Then I do wash all morning, using detergent I have a coupon for.
I usually wash a load of clothes every other day. I will wait until everybody has had their shower and I’ll put the jeans and shirts or whites in the washer and then put them in the dryer when they are done. The next day when I get home from work I take the clothes to the appropriate rooms and the kids put theirs away and I put ours away.

I throw in a load of laundry first thing in the morning and throw it in the dryer before I take the kids to school. I throw in another load at night before I go to bed in order to try and keep up through the week. With a family of five, having a “laundry day” just does not work for me. This way, I am getting a load and a half done each day.
Also, in order to cut down on energy costs, I put in a load of laundry just before I take a shower. This way, the hot water has already made it’s way over to that side of the house and I am not wasting water twice waiting for it to get hot! (I do the same with the dishwasher!)
Thanks for the chance!

Laundry Routine.
Laundry gets done on Saturdays.
Generally three batches – whites, workout clothes and everything else.
I try to get it all washed, dried and put away in the same day. Sometimes that works, sometimes it spills over into Sunday.
Most of my clothes hang up, so putting them away is pretty easy. Only shorts, jeans and towels get folded.
I use dryer sheets but cut/rip them into thirds and that’s more than enough for one load. Often, I’ll toss the used sheets back into the laundry for a second use. Never have any problems and a box of dryer sheets lasts forever.

We do laundry once a week.It will look like a big clothing bomb went off. We sort and them wash. If the weather is good, we hang them out on the line. We always try to hang up the clothes as they come off the line to prevent wrinkles.
My tip would be to use the proper amount of your detergant.
Once the clothes comes out of the dryer in goes in a pile on the middle of the table and I have my girls make piles of socks and delicates for everyone in the family. I take care of the rest. Then everyone takes their pile to thier room.
Wow, after reading your post I sort of feel like the odd girl out — I LOVE to do laundry! OK, I’m weird! I just like how all the fresh clean clothes come out of the dryer and how the empty laundry basket looks!
I don’t have any special routine for doing laundry. Since it’s just me and DH, I only have 2 loads per week, usually. The only change in the routine comes if I have some stained items. Then I do “the big soak” — 1 cup of powdered color safe bleach, 1 cup of powdered Cascade detergent, 1 bucket filled with hot tap water, and my items soaked overnight. Works a treat!

I am the worst at laundry – basically they go down the shoot and i sort them into colors/sheets/towels/other and pray for the best!
Will tweet this shortly
I do all my laundry on one day. Because I have a gas dryer, I keep the laundry going on one day because it waste energy to keep warming up the dryer with natural gas. I dryer will stay hot for a while and dries the clothes much faster.
I always spot immediately! My laundry regimen, sure hope I’m not too late! Everyone throws their laundry in the floor I pick it up on the adult side and my 8yo DS picks it up-sometimes on his side. I do the laundry-slowly. If my DH does it, he gets it done pretty fast. We have to fold it either on the couch or on my bed. And I hate putting it away! I was much better at laundry until my DH complained that I loved doing laundry too much, I used to work and do it at all hours so it would be done, now…

My routine is asking my hubby 3 times to bring the laundry out to the machines, I sort, I wash and I ask hubby 3 times to help fold the laundry. My tip is to go with All free and clear or any of the other free and clear products to wash baby clothes. If babies are not too sensitive, you do not have to use Dreft which tends to be much higher in cost.

My laundry tip is for those with kids who love playing in the dirt or in my case those with husbands who work in it (construction) and come home caked in mud/dirt so that even the white socks turn brown in the boots! Oxi-clean plus Tide really clean the jeans and socks much better than running the load twice or just soaking with detergent. I let it soak for a good half hour and add the extra rinse cycle to be careful of sensitive skin (I have eczema).
I separate whites from colors, pretreat any noticeable stains, add softener and hang clothes out on line (weather permiting). I fold the clothes on the lines by person, so that everyone’s clothes are separated and easier to put away.

First, I only wash once a month. Have enough undergarments to last and wear some outfits a couple of times before washing. I hang mine after I get home.
Then…
I mark the measuring cup on the detergent. Now, most detergent is 2x’s the power, however, we are use to pouring a whole cup in so if you’re not careful you will waste detergent
I wash all loads cold except whites(hot).
I change my load size at the rinse cycle to conserve water. Ex. if you start on a large load change it to med for the rinse cycle.
I hang all clothes with a little space in between. I use the shower rod in both baths, door handles, and over the door clothes racks. In winter they dry overnight. If your thermostat is on 85 like mine they will dry overnight now.
To prevent wrinkles, I run my hand down the clothing to smooth them out while wet.
I then fold laundry while watching TV and put it away during the commercials.
My laundry routine… Now THAT’S funny!! I start a load, let it finish, realize what’s in the dryer isn’t dry, so turn that back on. Forget about clothes in the dryer until I need something from it, which also means I forgot about the clothes in the washer. Empty dryer, rewash clothes in washer since they’ve been in there, wet, for 3 days… start the cycle over again…

I start laundry Friday night and finish Saturday afternoon, it’s the only time I have. I use ALL, fabric softener, and usually an add in stain fighter. Everything is washed in cold. My favorite laundry tip to getting blood out is COLD COLD water and Dawn dish soap. You have to do it the minute it gets on you but it works better than anything I’ve tried so far.

I usually make my teens carry it to the basement. Then I separate and wash it, then hang most of it on the clothesline in my basement (towels and jeans) and put all of our shirts on plastic hangers and hang them on the rafters in the basement to dry. Usually my afternoon on the second day they will all be dry. Then I fluff them in the dryer. (Using the clothesline in my basement to dry my towels and jeans, and hanging shirts on hangers from the rafters to dry saves alot of electricity.)
With a family of 6 (sometimes 7 when the college-aged daughter is home!) I do a LOT of laundry. My kids are 4, 6, 7, 17, and 19 (and the biggest kid – my husband!). I typically do several loads a day (my husband is in construction and creates QUITE a lot of messy clothes). I don’t mind folding the laundry – that’s when I catch up on all of the tv shows I’ve recorded with my DVR. My tip: Palmolive soap takes out grease stains like a champ!
Luckily my 4-year-old likes helping with laundry so we make a game of shooting clothes into the washer and dryer and he likes to help fold too. We all have a certain day where we do each person’s laundry so we keep the piles down.
I am a happy subscriber!
My laundry routine consists of laundry each night! I find that by doing at least one load every day, I do not have to spend the weekend completing my laundry.
My best laundry tactic is to keep a bottle of stain remover in my son’s room. That way, when I put get him ready for bed at night, any stains are immediately treated. This seems to keep stains at bay. Thanks!
To get out tough grease stains in clothes I use Dawn dishwashing liquid and it completely removes them.

My laundry routine is that I have no laundry routine LOL!! I just do my laundry when I get around to it and the same with folding and putting it away.
Here’s my laundry tip: Use peroxide and Q-tips to remove blood stains from clothing. Just dip the Q-tip in the peroxide and dab the blood spot. You may have to use a little pressure (it won’t hurt the clothes) but it causes the blood to bubble up and off the clothes. It works great….I’m a nurse and I’ve had to do this several times to my scubs.

Each child has a laundry basket in their bedrooms.Monday they bring out their baskets where I have three large baskets in the laundry room one for the whites, light colored clothes and one for the dark colored clothes. Having these three baskets really help get the laundry done faster and more efficiently. My tip is always have a bottle of spray stain remover above the washer handy or a Tide to go pen. It only takes seconds to treat
the stain.

I go around to all the rooms that have laundry and dump it all on the floor. I sort into piles. Then I usually wash the darks first, lighter colors and then whites.
Tip: If you have a stain that just won’t come out try this: first spray it with Spray N Wash w/Resolve power. Rub that into the stain. Then mix a heavy paste of oxiclean and apply that on top. Leave 24 hours. Wash as normal and the stain usually comes out.

My routine is I hand dry most everything I can, then I put it in the dryer to fluff. I usually leave some stuff on the hangers, so the next time I start laundry I have some clean clothes from the last time lol!
My Laundry Routine is simple. lol Wash and dry.
I put the laundry detergent into the washer, I also add borax or baking soda with the detergent. This makes the detergent do it’s job better according to the box.
I started to use it when I accidentally added a towel the plumber used to our laundry and EVERYTHING picked up the smell!
Soaked in Baking Soda, Tide w/febreeze, and then rinsed, washed with tide and borax and no more smell!

For those stains on the whites that just don’t come out with any laundry detergent then I use an old tip I read in Heloise years ago. I use I cup of bleach and a half a cup of Cascade automatic dish washing powder. I use this once a week to get my Son’s White Football pants looking brand new. I can see the difference from the other players on the team. They all look dingy and kind of a yellow haze to them. This works great to make them look brand new.

Oh, oh oh oh the laundry! We’re a household of 6 – Me (”the mom”,) my husband (”the dad”,) and then 4 children… spills, stains, rips, and tears… it’s my life! We must do at least 2 loads of laundry a day in the Summer JUST TO KEEP ON TOP OF IT ALL! And then it comes upstairs and my girls (they are almost 3 and then 19 months) LOVE to fold washcloths, underwear, whatever we’ll give them! Too cute! The boys just wonder why they are constantly putting their clothes away… boys will be boys! I love the smell of fresh, clean laundry!

My laundry rountine Is I start my loads early in the morning and wait until they are all dry unloading each load onto a spare bed in the house when all is done I do the foling and putting away in one time/trip. My tip is tape a bounce dryer sheet in the top under lid of your hamper so while the clothes are stored and you lift the lid each tiime you get a pleasant scent verses the dirty laundry smell.

I usually end up doing laundry after I notice that a certain shirt that I want to wear is in the laundry pile. I don’t use fabric softener because of my sensitive skin but feel that I miss out on the yummy fragrances. What I hate most about the process is hanging everything up, especially work pants, so, I fold them in a way that I can leave them in the hamper for a while and take my time putting them away. My tip? If you have a large flat surface somewhere, lay them flat until you are ready to put them away or even wear them!

My weekly weekend routine is to gather all the laundry and sort. I do a load of my toddler’s laundry, towels, and lights and darks of my cloths. I use laundry detergent and vinegar in the dispenser. In the dryer I use a dryer sheet, but just purshased the new bounce stick it for the dryer
This maybe a repeat.

I do it all Carry it down seperate, load it in move it to the dryer and then carry it up to the couch to fold it and put n piles then up the the dresser and put them away I do about 6 loads give or take a load every other day
I have sons and have taught them at an early age to do their own laundry. It sure helps teach them how to care for their own clothes and keep my laundry chores to a minimum. I use the Wonder Ball in my washer, and think it is great.
Need one for the dryer too.
