Hey guys it's time for another review! Presidents Cheese sent me a sample of their Bri cheese to try and give a review. Now you all know me and no matter what I will always give my honest opinions and I am very clear about that when someone sends me something to try. I have to say I wasn't all to excited about this one. I LOVE cheese but I hear Bri is an aquired taste. Now it wasn't terrible, please here me out. This product has a rich buttery taste. I am just not used to my cheese tasting like that. I am a cheddar/mozzarella girl.

Well since I know it is an aquired taste I decided to let my co- workers give it a try and to my suprise many of them loved it. So I took my video camera and caught them on video trying it and got their reactions. As you can see from the video everyone liked it. If you have never tried it I think you should try it and give it your own opinion and post here. I would love to know your thoughts on this! I am open to trying new things and I hope they will keep me in mind to try some of their other products even though I did not like this one. They do have a few how to videos that I found on their website that I thought was interesting. Pairing Cheese and Wine  and The Perfect Cheese Board . they also have some Easy Gourmet Recipes listed on their website.

Check out the video below of my co-workers trying out the Bri.

Brie is an acquired taste but I love it. There’s alot you can do with it – in a pastry shell, covered in fruit/nuts/glaze to spice it up some for a party.

I may try this. I noticed that the cheese is white. My oldest son will only eat white cheese (except swiss) so maybe he will eat this. No one mentioned an overpowering aroma and they said it was buttery. I think I will grab some for snacks over the Christmas break.

I love Brie cheese, but I find the rind to be a bit bitter, so I usually cut it off before trying to eat the cheese. The rind is not bad when it’s cooked, so for a good party favorite, wrap a Brie wheel in crescent roll dough, bake (following package directions for heat) until the dough is fully cooked then plate and top with apricot preserves, orange marmalade, cranberry relish (the one with berries in it), or sweet pepper jelly/jam. Everyone loves these when I make them for parties.

There is a company that makes Brie in a container WITHOUT a rind on it. This is great for spreading on split chicken breasts before coating them and baking them, or for spreading on crackers, or for mixing into homemade macaroni and cheese.

I LOVE brie! I like it cold (and yes, I do like it cold WITH the rind) and I like it warm, too. There was a restaurant I used to go to that had a brie appetizer that I would always get. I have never made it at home, but I will have to try it soon.
