Im just starting out, and I was wondering how do you know how much an item will be after the coupon? or i guess what I am asking is where do you find your “original” price of an item. and do you keep a sheet of how much things cost in your binder?

I have to brag on my Walgreen’s on 33rd and blvd. I called today looking to see if they had the Arm & Hammer sensitive in stock, and the MOD was VERY nice and held 12 bottles for me. I spent a total of $38.66 including tax. I would have spent with out the add price $90.38 including tax.

I am changing the way that I keep my coupons. I have always kept them in a box divided into 4 different sections and then from A-Z within each section, but now I am changing instead to a binder. Are there any tips that you can give me? I’m not sure exactly how to organize within the binder. Do I divide into labeled sections (food, household, etc)? Or do I just label A-Z for the whole binder and have all types of coupons mixed together? What is the best way that has worked for others?

Thank you!!

I noticed you had printable coupons listed with the GFF Foods deals. GFF will not accept internet coupons – or they didn’t last time I tried to use one about 1 week ago.

Thanks,

I called them and they said they no longer take them due to fraud and they said manufacturers normally do not sponsor the coupons they were getting—however, we all know many manufacturers are sponsoring online coupons now. I tried to explain to them about the Coupon Information Center to where they can see the fraudulent coupons and they refused.

They also seemed very negative about coupons in general stating that people were going in there on doubling days and just getting what they can get for free and nothing else. He stated some people would go in with 30 coupons get 30 items free and not buy anything else.

Hi,
I was trying to send the ConsumerQueen an email but it could not find the page when I clicked on it so I’m trying this. I live in Lawton, OK (shop at Country Mart which is owned by Homeland) and your match up on the sales flyers labeled Homeland works just GREAT for me but I have family in Chickasha, OK and their sales flyer has some different items. See the on-line ad for their location. http://www.homelandstores.com/Shop/WeeklyAd.aspx I notice that you show Chickasha, OK for your site, but it’s flyer is different. Question: Do you have a sales match up that goes with the Chickasha, OK Homeland Sales flyer?…. OR… Do you know of a website that we can use for Chickasha, OK?

Hey…. what you do for so many of us is great. Any information that anyone can provide will be helpful. Thanks!

Queen Mum June 8, 2012 at 10:13 PM

Cecilia, we do two Homeland ad match-ups. One for the Metro area and one for the Rural areas which should include Chickasha. :)

I was trying to email you but it wasn’t working.. But I was just curious if you have ever heard of GFF Foods down in Moore, Ok? I live there and I go there to snag some great deals. Just this week I was able to get 6 FREE pkgs. of Bars Brand hotdogs, and Red Diamond Iced Tea for only .98! Oh and I got Mrs. Bairds 7grain bread for only 1.49. They double coupons up to a dollar on Tues, Thurs, Sat, and Sun! They double the first coupon for each product, like if you get more than one of that specific product, the first coupon is doubled but each one after that isn’t. They don’t take printed coupons tho.. but really you can grab some of the best deals there. They have awesome sales almost always. And change it up often! I hope you can look more into this and possibly add it to your site! Thank you.. and good luck all you coupon queens!

Hello!
First off I just wanted to say how much I love your blog. As a busy mom of three I’ve been following several coupon blogs and this has been one of my favorites. I’ve recently discovered a very handy Iphone app that has been saving me some good money when I grocery shop. You basically submit pictures of your receipt and you receive cash rewards for doing so. Check it out!- http://itunes.apple.com/app/receipt-hog-scan-receipts./id525373618?mt=8

Cheers and happy shopping!

I was wondering about coupon-clipping services? I’m very wary of coupon fraud; but, there have been some coupons lately that I would really like to get extras of and can’t afford to purchase more than 5 papers each week. Thank you,

Reply

Queen Mum June 30, 2012 at 11:49 PM

Regina…we at ConsumerQueen don’t promote the buying or selling of coupons. Manufacturer’s don’t want people selling their coupons (as it states that on the coupons themselves) and Melissa (AKA Consumer Queen) works for a food manufacturer so she knows first hand that it’s not the right thing to do. The other reason as you brought up there is a lot of coupon fraud especially with printables. We believe since it’s the manufacturer’s that give us the coupons to begin with we should obey their rules :) .

Are there any family members or friends that you can get extra coupons from? Also, if you have your paper delivered you can ask your paper person for any extras that they have left over. They just throw them in the recycling bin. Hope this helps :)

Dollar Tree does not take coupons. Be sure to compare the ounces in the Dollar Tree deal to the store deal. Sometimes Dollar Tree gets different sizes.

Reply

Voni you can print 2 coupons per computer…in order to get 6 you’ll need access to more than one computer. If you have more than one computer in your house print 2 from each or have family/friends print them for you.

Best thing to do is to print the preview when we post it and then keep it with each weeks inserts. I do that and then cross off the coupons as I use them. once I notice all the expiration dates have passed I cut them and forward the expired ones to the military.

While I LOVE your site I find that I frequent others more often due to your sites layout. On the first page you find the most recent posts expanded and easy to read. While the following pages are in the compressed form. It makes it difficult to determine if I want to read the post or not from just the little snippets of info it gives me.

Hi, i’ve got a question on using register rewards. Can you not use a RR on a purchase where you are using manufacture coupons? I had bought 2 Lysol yesterday with coupons and had a RR that expires on the 10-7. And was told I can’t because the RR is a manufature coupon. I thought it would be applied like cash?

I have a question about Aisle50, I got an email today with offers. I want to use those offers but I was curious if we could also combine coupons with the offers? For instance you can buy on bag of starbucks coffee and get one free, but I also have a coupon so could I use that coupon as well? I know you pay for it in advance and then it just makes the coffee free at checkout (because you already paid for it) but can I use a coupon and it be applied to my other purchases? They also added a deal for buy 2 bottles of juice get two free

Reply

Queen Mum October 13, 2012 at 7:00 PM

Briana…if you use coupons with the Aisle50 deals your total AFTER coupons has to be greater than the deal. For example on the Ore-Ida deal : Get $10.00 worth for $5.00. Your Total has to be $10.00 after coupons, So if you bought 4 packs at $2.99 each ($11.96) you could use a .75 off coupon doubled which would bring your total to $10.46 which is above the $10.00 deal. I hope this helps and hasn’t confused you lol!

I have been trying to click on the link to find out what CVS’s coupon is. The web page is down. I know that I have stacked the same coupon when I am buying 2 items (100/2) . I went to a different CVS and he would not let me use more than one. Is the policy up to the manager at each store or is it a company policy? Please let me know. I won’t go back to that CVS if it is management policy.
Thank you

Queen Mum November 2, 2012 at 9:36 PM

Lorie, I’m not sure what you are asking, but here’s what I know about the CVS coupon policy. You are allowed use a manufacturer’s coupon and a store coupon on the same item. The following is true at any store, not just CVS: If you are using a $1.00/2 manufacturer’s coupon you cannot use another manufacturer’s coupon on the same two items. You can use a CVS store coupon on the same 2 items. Hope this helps. If it didn’t answer your question let me know. :)

Not sure how to give you the best answer. What I would do is either pay it off and then return them or ask the manager at the Walmart where you have them if they can price match the Black Friday price for you. I believe they did that last year :)

Coupons that having problems with are….
Blistex $1/2
Barber $1/1 (This is the coupon from the inserts in the newspaper)
Fyi… The Burt Shaving Cream coupon won’t scan at all, but another store is manually keying it in and doubling it.
