The Queen and I took our associate pastor’s wife Rachael couponing to show her the ropes as far as CVS shopping goes. We also hit Homeland and Wal-mart while we were at it.
As you can see she made out big at CVS – look at all those ECB she has to use the next time we go shopping!
It can be very confusing and sometimes frustrating trying to coupn when your new at it. The best advise I can give is be like Rachael and go with someone experienced until you feel comfortable in doing it by yourself.
An experienced couponer can show you the easiest way to organize your coupns, how to deal with not so friendly cashiers, and explain how to use your coupns the right way and effectively in the store.
Since Rachael was new to CVS she had no ECB to use on her purchases so what she paid this time out of pocket was her “seed money”, (the money she paid out on her first purchase to get ECB). She bought $20.00 worth of product, paid about $12.00 after coupns BUT received over $14 in ECB to use the next time she shops.
At Homeland her bill was $21.47 before coupns and $5.00 even (including tax) after.
When we went to Wal-mart her bill before coupns was $20.53 and $2.96 (including tax) after.
So she paid a total of about $20.00 for everything in the picture above PLUS received $14.00 in ECB! That’s like getting everything for $6!
I think she did really well for her first time
