We keep an empty dish soap bottle filled with bleach next to our kitchen sink. So anytime we use the sink to rinse uncooked beef, poultry, or pork, we can quickly kill any bacteria left behind with a couple of drops of bleach and quick scrub.

Yea I use bleach a lot too. As a matter of fact my grandma puts bleach directly in her dish soap bottle. So every squirt automatically has bleach. It keeps the dishes from a leftover stinky smell that sometimes lurks even after a good wash.

Be careful doing this. Some dish detergents, when mixed with bleach put off toxic fumes! DAWN is one of these. It says "Do not add bleach" on the back label.

Good deal! I've always used DAWN and someone told me this like right before I was going to mix them. Now I'm paranoid, and make sure my sink is really rinsed off GOOD before I use bleach on it....guess I'm paranoid! LOL

It may not work when you put it in the dishsoap. I know when you mix bleach and water to spray countertops ect.. you have to do it everyday because it loses its potency.
