My kids and I went to walmart today to buy a front facing carseat for Asher before we had to go to his eye doc appt. My daughter had her eye on one particular carseat for a while now, it's in stores for 150-155. she just happened to look online the other day and the online price is 135.98, so i told her no big deal, printed the online page out and figured i would ask for a price match.
i asked the cashier if they can pricematch the online price, she said: well i'm pretty sure, don't see why not, then calls someone and they told her NO.
Well..i told my daughter if they aren't pricematching we are not buying it here, i mean duh, we can buy it online and ship it for free to the store..no brainer.
The store manager happened to walk by so i stopped him and asked him, i was sure whoever the cashier talked to must have been wrong, store manager also told me that they don't match walmarts online price because the stores have real estate to pay for bla bla bla...i said well that's stupid, you all pricematch everyones advertised price but your own??? Told him i just take my paper to target and do it there, he said..well you know what, i will do it this time, since you didn't know and it's christmas right? So he let us pricematch the online price. Lesson learned, just remember if you see a price online it might not be the same in the store and they will most likely not match that price.
