I don't know if any of you know me, but it doesn't matter , God always hears our prayers, and we can pray for people that we don't even know. My aunt is going into the hospital on Monday Oct. 26th to have a mastectomy of her left breast and all of the lymphnodes on that side. She has comfirmed breast cancer in that breast and the doctors think it is also in her lymphnodes because she has a good sized lump under her arm. She is a christian and she knows the power of prayer and if things don't go her way she says she will go to a better place, bu tour family and her need our prayers greatly. thank you I am faith believing that all who read this will help me pray!!

My aunt came through surgery great and she was awake and talking to us last nite, but the news from the doctors was not so great! She did have cancer in 2 of the lymphnodes they were for sure and possibly in 4. She goes back next Wednesday Nov 4th to talk to the doctors about what stage it was in and to get appointments for a bone scan and a cat scan. The doctors told her she would need a min. of 6 months chemo and 6 months radiation plus a new shot that she will take every 3 weeks for a year.. Just please keep her and her family in your prayers.

This post is from a friend of mine who has a foundation who works and helps people with cancer of all types. I told her about how 2 of our members are facing cancer in their family .

Thunder,
Please post this message. I hope this helps ..
Ms Pink...aka Jules...

The hard part is waiting for the test results to say what kind of cancer it is Is it hormone positive or triple negative then you have to wait for stage and grading,,, this is the hard part waiting so get used to it with cancer treatment there is a lot of waiting.
Staging is about how big how many and how much it spread there has been. Stage 1 -4 1 being good But if you have a high grading then that makes a whole new ball game!
Grading is the big thing This will tell the doctors how nasty the cancer is and how aggressive it is what it will take to kill it. grading goes from 1 to 3 3 being a nasty aggressive kind of cancer but that does not mean it can not be killed....
Then there will tell you if there were any margins
Margins is how far the tumor spread out. Clean or clear margins usually means no radiation because it did not spread to far out.
The type of chemo depends on what kind of cancer it is believe it or not cancer is made up of a lot of different junk. But I suspect she is Hormonal due to the "shots'.. Before the surgery there should of been a biopsy and so the Dr has some ideal since he said "shots"
"shots" is a key word dr use. and that is a good thing!
Now once they get all the information they will arrange a plan of attack. weather it be rads (radiation) first or chemo first.
Since it looks like she will be doing 6 rounds of chemo then I would suggest she get a "port" put in this make chemo mush easier on the person instead of having to have an Iv put in every time.
Chemo had a nasty reputation but people forget that chemo saves lives! Chemo is not nice it has a ob to do and that is to kill cancer so it will NOT kill you.
We all hear horror stories about how so and so died during chemo. Well that was a longtime ago and when you hear of so and so who died during chemo as soon as they were hooked up guess what it was not the chemo that killed them but the pre meds that they give you before chemo.... .
BUT when you have chemo you are watched by a nurse for the first 15 minutes and should something go wrong they are on you in a second. ..
Death by chemo is old school Chemo has come along way since then..
We see chemo on Tv we see a person living in the bathroom foe days. well that is Hollywood and we all know how they are.............
yes chemo will make you fell icky and you may vomit.... but then again you may not.Chemo has come so far and the drugs they give you now before chemo and after chemo prevent it.. So make sure you talk to both your dr and your chemo nurse about meds. Your chemo nurse will become your best friend and best source of information !
Plus there is chemo out there that does not make you sick at all......!! you just feel tried ... so once they give you your chemo name give me a yell and I can send them information on what to expect from that drug and other helpful information.
Prayer is the best thing for a person facing chemo.
You HAVE TO HAVE FAITH AND YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE IT! YOU HAVE TO BE STRONG! AND SO DOES EVERYONE AROUND YOU!
during this time people will come out of the woodwork saying do this do that a friend of a friend did this and it cured their cancer.
The sad fact is there is no oil pill rub that will cure cancer . Lord w ho I wish there was but there is not. What happens is way to many people are misdiagnosed so in an attempt to avoid chemo they do 'other stuff and wham they are"cured" but truth be told they never had it to begin with and for the 2% who are cured God cured them!
The problem is people do not know how much harm can be done by this "good advice"
Example if a woman has a hormonal cancer they they have to watch out for soy if it is an estrogen cancer then estrogen will feed the cancer so if you take a soy product well we all know soy is plant based estrogen so you are in fact feeding cancer and if you do not know what has what and what has hidden soy it in.............. then you can get into trouble fast.... I had a friend who has a hormonal cancer and used a red raspberry leave oil and she in fact was feeding her cancer the red raspberry leaf that she was told to use for the queasy had hidden soy in it.... So before you use ANYTHING talk to your dr! .!! There are great product out there that will help with the chemo ickys but only your dr can tell you what is and is not safe for your type of cancer..
A nutritionist who deals with cancer should be available to you at your cancer center . If not then I would suggest to find one to talk
Little know fact is people do not know what can feed their cancer some cancer is feed by sugar and some by protein So that is why this is important. Why go through chemo only to get cancer again because you gave it what it needed to come back.?
When a person get cancer there allot of education that you need to get. and you know me I can go on and on about this ....
Cancer is scary.. But you can survive and thrive! Stage 4 is no longer a death sentence. and with only 2 nods I would guess stage 2A...
I know of a person who has stage 3 grade 3 26 lymph nodes involved that was 10 years ago. she is thriving and considered cured..
So the point is It is ok to be scared But the good news is they are making strides every minute and more more people are surviving this horrible thing...

Well I hope I helped calm some nerves.
faith in God is an amazing thing and he hears all our prayers.... NEVER GIVE UP HOPE!!!!
So now is the time to relax there will be hard battle to fight ahead of you and your aunt will need you all...
Once you get the type of cancer she has and the type of chemo she will have feel free to contact me and I will be happy to give you information on what to expect from the type of chemo ..
6 month of chemo is the norm... the main chemo is usually given every 21 days... some chemo is dense dosages and that is every 14 days and the shots well if it is what I suspect it is another from of chemo some dr use the word shot to keep from freaking people out but it it "pushed" that means shot into your port/ or iv in a matter of 15 minutes... and that chemo is NOTHING it is one of them that will not make you sick at all!
so just from this information I have read things really look good.
and rads is nothing you should ask about tomotheraphy for rads it is awesome and no down time!
You will have a lo of question to ask the dr so write them down and take a notebook with you.
If you would like to know what other questions to ask feel free to contact me and I will be happy to send you a copy of the list of questions to ask..
I run a non profit foundation to help people with cancer. We NEVER Charge for our services!
There is so much more But I do not want to over load you on information...
Have faith. things are looking up....
