i havent been on much but i can really use some prayers

well i havent been active in several months i think. ive been lurking but thats about it. i am having some very serious family issues and several family members having health issues. i have had a very troubled relationship through the years with my mother and her family. i am in the process of rebuilding some bonds with the family. i could really use prayers for the strength to continue building the bonds i need to no matter how hard it may be. as far as the health issues my father is suffering from terminal cancer and very recently he has been in so much pain. he is not wanting any treatment or any other testing so its just a waiting game. he is also so stubborn he wont take any pain meds and keeps telling everyone hes not hurting but its obvious that he really is. i just want him to quit suffering and be able to have some good days. i know that things will be hard but i will be okay because i have many loving friends and family. i also have my maternal grandpa that i have just started building a relationship with who is probably considered terminal also. hes suffering from copd and congestive heart failure. i am so thankful for the recent time i have got to spend with him but its so hurtful to know that its a very limited time. im just hoping he and i can both have some peace through this tough time. im sorry this is just so random im just burning the candle at both ends taking care of what i need to. so please just pray for my and my husbands strength because he is right there supporting me the best he possibly can. thanks for listening i love the group so much.

well wanted to update everyone and also thank you all. my papa is doing much better.they have got his heart back into normal rythem which is always a good thing. he still has lots of fluid on his whole body( about 40 to50 pounds).they are treating that with rationed intake and lots of lacics. hes still on bed rest so thats never good. he cant even walk and thats heart breaking. i have been very blessed this week however to spend some much over due quality time with my family. my brother and i are rebulding sometype of relationship which is making me more happy than my words can express.

my father is still not doing to wonderful. im having a hard time even being around him. its not that i dont want to its that i physically hurt watching him. and he not even at the worst part of what cancer does to you. i know thats coming though and it makes me so sick just thinking about it. i just want to stay strong and make his time here special to us both. i will try to keep my head up and stay positive. i know that god is there for me and will not lead me astray.

thank you karen and karen for all the kind words. i will email you if i need to talk right now im just not ready. this is such a special group of ladies.

okay i havent updated lately so here goes. my papa made it out of hospital over the weekend. i havent seen him since sunday but he was doing much better. im just praying he stays on the therapy and takes better care of himself. as far as the family situation goes. i think god has given me a great oppurtunity and he isnt going to give me more than i can handle. he knows what i need and is providing for that. my dad is doing pretty good. he started using his fistula tuesday for the first time in about a year. hopefully he will continue and that will help him get better dialysis. hes really tired a lot but thats normal for dialysis. i think things are getting better for everyone around me. all i have left to ask for is help balancing my friends and to get refocused on my body and my self. thanks for all the prayers they mean so much.
