Welcome to all our new members. Many of you will be from the Oklahoma City metro area I presume. If you are, then you are probably familiar with Crest Foods, a local grocery store here. In case you do not, have not shopped there, it is comparable in pricing to Walmart, however, you will find ALOT better sales there on a regular basis than at Walmart. And friendly customer service too!

Anyway, I wanted to let you know that Crest does not run regular sales cycles like many stores do. That is why you will see an array of different postings by date in the forum. Several of our members shop there throughout the week and report back. Sometimes deals change, sometimes they remain the same for a couple of weeks. The HOT deals always sell out pretty quickly. Sometimes they restock, sometimes they don't. It is easier to keep track of these with separate postings by date than for members to have to scroll down through long, lengthy posts.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help you in any way.

I "subscribed" to 6 or 7 different forums and before there were issues with the site (when it was going to godaddy.com automatically when we came to the site a couple of weeks ago) I was receiving email updates. Since then, I have not received one email. I have checked all of my settings and everything seems okay. Do you have any idea why I'm not receiving emails anymore?

You may want to PM Melissa as she would be the one that would check into this. I do not suscribe to any forums, I just pop in each day to check the "new posts".

There is no one who has the "inside scoop", we just simply find deals as we shop. And there would be no way I know of finding the deals on a day to day basis, sometimes members will post good deals they find in this forum. Most of us shop Crest simply because they have the same or much lower prices than Walmart (most of the time) and because they run awesome sales quite often. I do the majority of my shopping at Crest and cherry pick the rest of the stores (Homeland, Walmart, CVS).

I have a question...

I am new to OKlahoma and been working trying out different stores to see who has the best deals since apparently there is no Kroger stores here (I miss Kroger dearly!).

I have shopped at the Crest closest to me (Eastern Ave & 12th Street in Moore) and I did find a few good deals, but most of them had limits like 4 per person, which I am ok with. But I have been here 2 mths and have yet to find anywhere that I can get Crest Store coupons, plus the Crest i went to would not take my online coupons! So I lost over $5 in savings just from that! Plus the next payday I shopped on the military base (first time I have done that in over 2 yrs!) and was able to by more food and spent nearly $15 less! Plus the cashier I had at Crest was very rude about not taking my online coupons! Also, they didn't seem to have all that much of a selection! Is there a better Crest nearby?

Within a reasonable driving distance I have Walmart, that horrible Crest, the base store, a Target, and a Walgreens. That is it from what I can tell. Closest Super Target is all the way down in Norman.

So my questions are

What stores in the South east OKlahoma City/ Moore /Del City area actually print their own store coupons? Which ones will actually allow me to stack coupons?

Because so far I have yet to find one that will let me do that, so I am saving a bit by using the coupons I have, but not near as much as people are claiming they can!

I have gotten better about taking advantage of sales when I see them and I am working on a price book so I can remember what things cost in the stores I am in most often, but as I said I have yet to find a place that willl allow to do anything more than use a manufacture's coupon on a sale item. They won't let me double and since i can't find store coupons I can't stack! Please help me!

Sincerely,
Kami

The only stores that double here in Oklahoma that I'm aware of are the Homeland stores which double up to $1 excluding soft drinks and a few other items (beer , cigs and coupons for free items, I think). They will only double one "like coupon" per transaction, which means that if you have 2 identical coupons they will only double the first one and give you face value for the other one. I've gotten a lot of FREE stuff from Homeland. They also will allow you to stack coupons but they don't offer Homeland coupons very often.
Super Target puts out a lot of their own coupons and will allow you to use them with manufacturer's coupons. If the regular Target carries the item you can stack coupons there too.
I'm really sorry you had problems at Crest...the one in Edmond is great! I get cheap and free stuff there often even though they don't double or accept IP coupons.

If you have a Homeland near you just check out the Homeland forum...the ad specials/deals are posted weekly on wed. (that's when the new ad starts). Also, I'd check here for deals at Crest... that way you don't have to make a trip there unless you see something you want posted here.

Welcome to Oklahoma...if we can do anything to help you don't hesitate to ask!
