To use Listerine as a surface disinfectant and deodorizer, mix a half and half solution of Listerine and water into a spray bottle. This Listerine and water mixture is ideal to use in many situations such as when someone accidentally vomits on a table, on the counter, or on the floor. Spray the solution onto the surface to kill the germs. Let the solution stand on the surface for one minute, then clean the surface as normal. This mixture can also be used to disinfect shared surfaces such as toilet seats, water fountains, and the washing machine at your local laundromat.

Household Uses for Listerine #2-Topical First Aid Antiseptic
In the event of a serious burn or cut, Listerine is a good item to keep in your first aid kit. Applying Listerine to a cut, burn, or other skin abrasion removes germs and reduces the possibility of infection until proper medical attention can be obtained.
