Here is a copy of Walmarts Printable coupon policy! Print this out and keep it with you!

Wal Mart Coupon Policy-Don't Let Them Tell You That They Do Not Take
Internet Coupons

http://walmartstores.com/7655.aspx

SUGGESTION someone posted: I keep the printed policy in my purse and it's helped me several
times. However, it printed out with the date I printed it on the bottom,
which was about 2 months ago. When I had to show it to a cashier this week
who wouldn't take my coupons, her response was that "maybe WalMart policy
has changed since you printed this". So, make sure your copy has a recent
date, or tear the bottom 1/2 inch off the page.

This is my first time posting here. Anyway, I went to Walmart today with some internet coupons for baby food. I was buying 24 packs of the 1st foods and was going to use the coupons. The cashier and CSM wouldn't let me use the coupons. They said they don't accept them any more. I was frustrated and told them that I didn't want the baby food if they wouldn't accept my coupons and that I can get them cheaper at Crest without using the coupons. Anyway, when I got home, I called corporate office and they said they are supposed to accept them. They were going to let the store know and the manager is supposed to call me to see what can be done. We'll see.

From what i read about walmart customer service they do follow up when you call, i myself sent in an email a couple of weeks ago, complaining about the csm and praising a cashier, and never got a reply so with walmart i would definately suggest to call instead of emailing.
I have walmarts coupon policy printed out and usually keep it with me, of course the times when i don't have it with me is usually the times when i need it.
Walmart got hit pretty bad with some high dollar coupons that were issued on facebook by some company that repeatedly told people that the coupons are legit and good to use and then realized that people actually print out a bunch of them (no security or limit on the coupons) and ended up telling all retailers that the coupons are not legit and wouldn't reimburse for them. Even the CIC issued a statement and said the the company handled this whole fiasco completely wrong.
I'm sure walmart is very leery of any printable coupons right now, no excuse, but understandable.

i went to my local wal-mart (stillwater).
1st trip- cashier said they do not accept internet coupons. i said ok cause she was just doing what she was told and it was late. I figured i would call and talk to a manager the next day.

i called the 800 number to complain and called store to leave a message for manager to call me back.

manager called me back about 7 days later....i wasn't mad. I know things take time and that is a very busy wal-mart. he was nice and said that they do accept internet coupons (like website says), but they had been having a hard time with scammers and cashiers are suppose to look out for the wrong ones. He says to come in with my receipt and coupon and shouldn't be a problem.

2nd trip: Go in to customer service and the csm was INCREDIBLY RUDE. She didn't even look at my coupon and said ' we don't take those' from like 7 feet away.
I said website says otherwise, may i speak to a manager. A manager comes over and agrees without looking at the actual coupon. I said this specific coupon is the one that u are having issues with. She said yes. I didn't appreciate being treated like I was trying to steal.

I came straight home and called the 800 number again and called the store for the manager to call me back.

The thing is the 800 number agent went over the rules with me and she told me the name of the company that they were having trouble with. my coupon was a different company. Also, I had a manufacturer coupon from the sunday paper for the same company---different product. It had the exact same mailing address. I believe it is legit.

I am gonna give it a couple days for the manager to reply....there is NO need for rudeness and maybe it is time for some re-training cause wal-mart accepts internet coupons....their csm should keep up. I work in retail, there is always something new to keep up with. Get used to it or get another job!

OK - my 1st post. But here's my experience on 10/31/08 to add to the mix.
Went to OKC, Belle Isle Walmart.
Had mixture of coupons - 8 were internet and complied with Walmart's guidelines for those type of coupons.
Was carrying copy of their policy in my folder - have not had to EVER use it in these 8+ months of doing internet coupons.
3 cashiers, 2 csms - each agreed with the other - no internet coupons.

I told them I would return the items the coupons represented at Customer Service.
Asked for a little space to unload bags and sort.
After 45 minutes of sorting, waiting in line, etc., I got a refund of almost $20 on those items.
(It was the principle of the thing - I was NOT going to pay full price! Had worked hard to organize had budget for this trip!)

Called the store manager, Dawn W., when I got home.
She was unable to access the coupon policy - slow computer.
Still assured me this wouldn't happen again.
I asked what I should do next time.
She said the CSMs would go over the coupon policy with cashiers in 1X/week meeting.

What I learned:
Make sure your Walmart coupon policy has a recent date on it. One CSM implied my 1/2 sheet of printed policy indicated I had deliberately torn off the bottom to not disclose the date. :(

Make sure you know the store manager and use their name when there's a question.

Following the rules doesn't always mean a thing!

I was at Walmart last week in Midwest City and had a problem that I was wondering if anyone else has had-
I had the cashier price match some items that were on sale at Target. I showed her the ad and she price matched the items. Once it came time to give her my coupons on the items that she price matched she would not accept them. She said it was one or the other, you can't have both deals. I asked to speak to a manager and she called what I thought was one over. The manager stated the same thing as the cashier. I was a little mad b/c if I had known that I would have just gone to Target and bought the items there with my coupons. I jsut didn't want to make an extra stop.

On the way out I saw another manager and asked if you could price match and use coupons on the same item and she said that was fine and they do it all the time. Has anyone else had this problem with any other Walmarts?

I had printed out the walmart coupon policy just in case, and used 3 printed coupons at the Walmart in Brockport, NY about a week ago the cashier just smiled and scanned them without any problems. I was my first time using coupons there so I wasnt sure how they would react, so i was very happy that it wasnt a problem.

I'm new here and was just reading through the boards when I came across this one. I know nothing has probably been posted here for a while but I had a similar situation as many others not to long ago. I called corporate about the matter and was told that they do accept internet coupons BUT that each stores decision is at the discretion of the manager on staff at the time.

Another thing, and I was told to do this by a cashier at Walmart, go through self check out when you have online coupons. They scan the same and the system can not tell a difference.

I am an employee of a Walmart super center in Illinios, at the store I work at; as long as the internet coupon scans it is accepted. If it has to be manually put in, they do not.

We generally save about 30 dollars every 2 weeks on our shopping trip with my 10% discount on general merchandise, combined with coupons! :)

I went to Walmart today in Edmond by I-35. They would not accept one of my coupons because they said it did not have an extra bar code near the expiration date. The cashier sent me to Customer Service, and they said the same thing. None of the coupons from Smart Source online have this extra bar code, but coupons from coupons.com do have the extra bar code. Does this mean walmart is no longer taking coupons from Smart Source online? I did not know if this was a new coupon policy at walmart or just an individual store.

Here is the response I got back from Walmart when I emailed them to confirm the taking of printed coupons:

Dear Tammy,

Walmart Stores can accept coupons that are available on the internet for customers to print from their home computers. The following are guidelines for the stores for accepting internet coupons:

- The coupon should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon". There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer, to ensure the coupon can be processed for payment.
- The coupon should have a scan-able bar code.
- The coupon should have an expiration date.
- The coupon cannot be a photocopy.
- The limit is one coupon per item, per Customer.
- A Salaried Manager can refuse to accept a coupon if it does not meet any or all of these guidelines.

Sincerely,
Walmart Customer Care
