Hi all, I'm trying to get back in the swing of things. Usually summers are good for me but this year has been bad. I'm in constant pain and it seems my rheumatoid arthritis is having a field day in both my elbows. My pcp won't give me anything, just says to take my vicodin. My neck dr took me off my voltaren tablets and switched me to the gel. Its not working at all and I don't see him till Sept 10. I'm going to break down and call and complain tomorrow.
I know with everything going on in the world, my problems are small. I'm also praying for everyone else who has posted and is having a problem or problems.
Thanx,
Kathie :(

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad. Chronic pain just wears you down.

Two of my friends with severe pain (one an orthopedic nurse, retired on disability with 2 crushed ankles) have tried boswellia and felt it really helped them. I used it when I had a lot of pain from fibromyalgia.

The one I have used is produced by Standard Process and is available at my chiropractor's office, but other companies also produce Boswellia blends. You might want to research it online.

These are the ingredients in the one I use:
Boswellia Complex
Boswellia Complex contains Boswellia , Celery Seed, Ginger and Turmeric. These herbs provide many phytochemicals including triterpene acids (especially the boswellic acids), several essential oils (one of which contains terpenes and phthalides), coumarins, flavonoids, pungent principles (including gingerols) and yellow pigments referred to as diarylheptanoids (including curcumin). ...

By the way, I did say a prayer for you. I hope you rest well tonight.

Hey Kathie,

I hate to hear that things aren't going well for you. I can't imagine having to deal with constant pain, as you have had to endure.....you are one STRONG lady. Continue to hang in there!! I will certainly be praying that God grants you some relief from the pain. You mentioned that with everything going on in the world, that your problems are small...........isn't it good to know, that in God's eyes NO PROBLEM is too small.......no matter what is going on in the world, we are '"each" special and important to Him? He hears our prayers no matter how big the issue appears to others or even to ourselves. We serve a Mighty God and I will certainly be praying for YOU!!

Chris

Thanx Chris. Our summer has been cucky here with rain every other day. Usually this time of year we are in 90's and humid but for about 5-6 days now highs in low 70's and lows in low 50's. The rain is good for my garden but not me.
I'm trying to hold off calling my dr because he took me off my prescription nsaid ande put me on a creme and its not working. w/o the voltaren my ra is in 1 huge flare. Both hands, elbows and my neck are killing me. Oh well, what doesnt kill us makes us strong.
I should be really really strong lol.
Kathie

I will keep you in my prayers. My mother deals w/ constant pain as well. She has been diagnosed with Parkinsons and keeps getting bone fractures. She now has a broken ankle. No clue how it happened. She also suffers from swelling in her legs and feet. She's had every test run in the world and they don't know what the problem is. She lives in a 2 story condo and can't go upstairs to her bedroom so she sleeps on her couch. I go over every day practically to help w/ laundry, dishes, etc. I have 2 little ones and it is hard to do everything for her that needs to be done. On top of everything else my Dad is divorcing her after 45 years...They keep telling my mom to take her pain meds...she can't live doped up. It is horrible. I don't wish cronic pain on anyone. Again, I will add you to my prayer list. Take care of yourself.
