i wouldn't just make up an email addy, just create one on hotmail, some of the offers require you to varify your email so after you have done the offers, log in to the email addy and look if any need to be verified, do that to get the points..then create a new email addy next day..see what i mean?

Do you put in fake names and numbers but use your real address? I went to the roboform and it costs money, did you guys do it for free without posting your credit card info?

There is a FREE form of ROboform. I think it is the trial version. It lets you store 10 passcodes only. I have the paid version on my work computer, I got it from buying some business cards a long time ago. The trial is fine for people who just use it for contests. With the paid I have it remember my log ins for my utilities and school. I put correct info on it, but no SSN, CC info or other info. All they can get is my name, address and date of birth. I have bad credit so not much people can do with that. Plus I check my credit report all the time. Never had any problems.

i never paid for roboform, use the free version.
You use your actual info when you first sign up..you use different info for doing the offers

I am very nervous becaseu I won a free Ipod shuffle but to recieve it I have to put in my SS# and have it notirized. For you guys that have one it before, how did you feel about this? I am a nursing student and the last thing that I can afford happen to me is get my idenity stolen. Please help and give me advice on what to do~

for the ones that don't understand sweepstakes etc...if you win a certain amount of $$ a year you have to declare it on your taxes, i believe the amount is $600. I'm sure i will get slammed for this but it's ok to give your SS# to get your ipod. I won one before, melissa has too.

Thank you for the info. I called the president of the company and he reassured me the SS# is used for tax purposes only. I am still nervous and my husband tells me not to do it but I do like FREE!

i won a free laptop a few years ago from a local grocery store. i had to go in to the headquarters and show 2 forms of id and fill out a tax form. and in january of the following year i got a form i want to say it was a 1099 or something that showed the cash value of the laptop and yes i claim it on taxes.

Yep that's the reason why..taxes. I have gotten so many ipods from this place, i wouldn't hesitate a minute to give them my SS# if they asked for it again, i do understand your hesitation, but it is a legit company, i've done this a couple of years with them. They are ok.
Now..i wouldn't say that about every company out there on the net..but this one is ok.
