It's a good start! Plus at least you were getting things that you could use!

My favorite trip was when I got stuff at CVS and walked out with more $ then I walked in with. My oldest son has never forgiven me for not taking him with me on that one (youngest son was with me) I do however have tons of toothpaste and freshmatics! LOL

Last week was a great time to go to CVS and walk out with more than you went in with. I paid $30 something and left with over $50 to use on my next visit!!! And I too have enough toothpaste along with shampoo and Kotex to last me a few years; and that's even after I donated a large part of it! :D :D :D

You ladies are amazing! I can not seem to figure out how to do all this. I can get fairly good results but nothing like what you guys get. Any tips you can share?

Tips? Hmmm....always look for the sales that you also have coupons to match up with. Anyone can buy something that's on sale, you really save when you have coupons too. I almost never use my coupons on full price items unless it's just something I must have every week. Otherwise I wait for sales and then stock up. Ex: we got coupons for assorted Keebler crackers in our inserts a couple weeks ago...Crest now has Keebler crackers on sale for 3/$5. Minus .55 coupon...you pay $1.10. I bought five boxes.

CVS is the best (better than Walgreens IMO) for getting the most and making money on your deals. Just watch for the items that offer ECBs and then see if you have coupons to match.

You'll get the hang of it. It just takes practice.

The deals have been a little sparse lately, but they'll pick up again and then lots of the ladies post spending/saving scenarios that really help! If you have any specific questions, speak up....we love questions!!

Thank you Amanda. Is there a certain spot for questions or should they go under the specific stores forum? Im new here as you can probably tell lol. The only question I have right now is if there is a sale for "bogo half off" and you have two coupons can you use both with the sale? I have been told you can use as many coupons as you have for an item as long as there are the same number of items as coupons, but a manager at Walgreens said I could only use a coupon on the normal priced item. I think thats when my confussion started lol

If it is a general couponing question, I would post under members chat. If it is store specific, I would post under the individual store.

If the store is running a BOGO 1/2 price, then you can use a coupon for each item. That is correct, one coupon per item (unless you are using a Walgreens coupon together with a manuf. coupon). The cashier at Walgreens that said you couldn't does not know what they are talking about...I would have politely asked to speak with a manager. I've had Walgreens cashiers tell me I couldn't use two coupons on an item when one was a Walgreens coupon and one was a manufacturer's coupon....so basically, many cashiers do not even know their own store's policies or else they just don't care and want to be difficult because they do not understand couponing.

Another reason they may be difficult is that there is an increasing number of people that try to use coupons dishonestly and unethically and they are making it hard on the rest of us.

Another thing to keep in mind...although Walgreens accepts their own coupons along with manufacturer's coupons on the same item, you still have to have enough items to equal one coupon per item or the computer will not accept it. For ex: you buy a bottle of shampoo and use $1 off Walgreen's coupon and $1 off manuf. coupon, you will have to throw in a "filler" item, like a candy bar or gum to make two items. Make sense??
