i never ran into that problem, till saturday..of course i didn't have the letter with me, and not sure it would have helped but..
I was using a few coupons and one of them was the eight o'clock coffee $1 coupon that i printed from smartsource a while back. Cashier told me that she can not accept it because the coupon didn't have 2 barcodes. I asked her if she knew who smartsource is..they put inserts in the sunday paper etc..she goes..well i can't accept it, crumbles up my coupon and throws it in her trash. Ugh i was mad, but i wasn't gonna cause a scene, so i went home and sent an email to corporate.
This happened on santa fe and danforth.

Then i go to cvs and the cashier there, rips part of my receipt off, like the middle part, and hands me the first and last part of my receipt...so i said...what did you rip off? she goes..it wasn't coupons or anything..i said..well???? what was it then? she goes..the manager told me to keep that part, completely refused to show me what she took off my receipt, later in the car i realized it was the part where it shows my spending and limits that i reached etc. so since i was email happy yesterday i sent an email to cvs corp too.

I'm starting to get really tired of this.

i completely agree with you. that is beyond personal info. why does a cashier or manager or anyone else need to know what i spend. that is just beyond me that a person even thinks they have the right to do that. im so sorry that someone invaded your privacy that way. i would love to know what cvs thinks about that practice.

Wow ripping off reciepts! That sounds really shady! What could they gain by doing that?
