I spoke with my Aunt in California today and she was telling me that Rebates will soon get taxed out there. Not sure if it is state or fed But Once other states get wind of it It could happen here! UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :x

If this happens to us....does that mean that they will automatically deduct tax from our rebates or will we have to figure it?????

I do not know how they can do that, sounds like double taxing to me. Rebates are not income, they are a REFUND for what you already bought which you paid full tax on. That is how I atleast I see it.

AMEN! To me it seem like a double tax too. so then lets say we buy something for 5.00 with a 3.00 rebate does that mean they can only tax me on the 2.00 actual cost then on the 3.00? going to be interesting. Don't we have enough worries in the world that our officials should be focusing on, instead of taxing our rebates? Humm maybe they should be fired? if taxing rebates is their priorities!! :!:
