We have had gnats really bad throughout the house. My mom has plants which is where we figure they're coming from. Is there any solutions that will make things little pesks leave us alone. Any tips are welcome

Thanks

We used glue traps to catch them. Husband thought he would swipe them everytime they flew by. He caught over 140 in two days!!!!!! YUCK They were out of control!

Anyways we have NO MORE gnats in our house. Also keep the fruit in your refridgerator especially bananas and other foods too.

Those glue traps catch anything that shouldn't be in your home. (mice, spiders, flies, etc....I ALWAYS keep them on hand.

Another thing that gets rid of gnats is vinegar. Set out a small dish uncovered ( I used Apple Cider, but I don't think that the type really matters). Something in the vinegar draws the gnats to it and they fall in and drown. I tried this on Tuesday, and by Thursday morning I had killed all of them! :D

Does this work for fruit fly's? My mom left some banannas out and now the kitchen is filled with them. Yuck! anyway, just wondering if vinegar works for that too?
TIA

We had them real bad last year-this year not so bad. Gnats love water. So, at night be sure to put some bleach in your toilets and keep the lid down. Also, drizzle some bleach in your sinks. Hope this helps

I mix water and dish washing soap together in a spray bottle and spray them, they can't fly after that. It works in my house. I also use the sticky things that go in your window.

I don't know if this works for getting them out of the house but when sitting outside spray on vanilla body spray and the gnats and mosquitoes hate it. They will leave you alone. I found that you have to reapply and that extract doesn't work as well but at least it smells better than bug spray!

PURE vanilla works as well. Repel mosquitos (and possibly gnats) and smell like a cookie!
