OK I have a house I rent and the carpet is beigy taupe and it looks filthy. I have tried the spray can cleaners and they make no difference and over the weekend I rented a rug doctor and they do not look like it did anything. Any ideas what I can do without putting tons of chemicals on the rug (Little man crawls around or walks around a bunch!) Any ideas short of hiring a professional??

I don't have the answers you want, but I use a guy that does an amazing job. He works around my schedual and uses some sort of foam method....It never seems very chemically. He just cleaned my living room and one of my bedrooms for $80. My parents used him when I was a teenager and I remember he got nail polish out of my carpet (that I had hidden for some time) LOL!
