Chocolate milk (skim Chocolate milk)
we shared 1/2 the little container of Phish Food ice cream (3 people)

Tonight I am thinking of

Turkey Bacon
Miracle Whip Light

Glass of Milk

Strawberries for dessert!

I cannot wait until dinner!

Last night I ended up not having a BLT for some reason I got started thinking about a steak and I decided I wanted that. I had been unable to eat all day so for dinner I ate!

I had ceasar salad
baked potatoe (with fat free chicken broth instead of butter)
garlic bread (1 piece)
rib eye steak with A-1 sauce

Big glass of milk

Tonight we are having french stew. It is so simple and really good.
It consists of bacon, tenderized round steak, onion, potatoes and carrots. It takes about 3 hours so since I get off at 3, it works great for me and is ready when everyone gets home from work, practice etc.

Can you post the recipe? Directions would be needed. I have a hard time making stews and hubby loves them in the winter!

Well, since Hubby and I are the only ones at home now, since everyone has moved out, daughter and son in law bought a house in coffeyville, its hard for me to only cook for 2!!! lol plus always working, I think I may have forgotten how to cook. I think tonight we are going to have a quick Digiorno Pizza, cause Bowling Fall League starts tonight also

It is really easy... Here is the recipe
1 pkg bacon cut into cubes
1 pkg tenderized round steak (about 2-3 lbs) cubed
2 chopped onions
I use the med. bag of baby carrots
Peeled and chopped potatoes. Typically I use 1/2 a bag.
Salt and pepper
Start w/bacon and layer bottom of pot or crock pot
Then layer your meat
Then onion, carrots and potatoes...salt and pepper.
Continue layering until your pot is full
add about 1 cup of water to prevent bacon from burning.
Cover and cook about 1 1/2 hours.
Stir occasionally
Add another cup of water and cook about another 1/2 hours.
It makes its own juice, but will not be soupie like stew, etc.
Just make sure your carrots and potatoes are done and that is it..
It makes alot, but it is even better the next day..
Enjoy

REAL homemade mac and cheese:

a stick of cracker barrell extra sharp cheddar cheese shredded and layered between some coooked shells with some milk poured over it (just a little bit) and baked in the oven until kinda crisy on top. YUMMY! Good thing this freezes well. I may have to make it in my cupcake tins so I don't eat the whole pan. One of my favorite meals and hubby doesn't like it! I'll save leftovers for the kids!
