So I could send someone (locally?) coupons I can't use, just as long as I don't receive anything in return? I hate to just throw them away, and I don't want anything in return...So would that be ok?

I see nothing wrong with donating coupons. I give my dog and cat food coupons to the shelters since I cannot use them and I know they can.
