Well okay I have been reading everything you all have said and got some pointers and i decided to go to Walgreens today and try out my new skills..

This is how i did..

1st transaction..

3 Robitussin @ $6 each=$18
1 Excedrin @ $3 each
Total before coupons=$21
Used 3-$3 off printables -$9
Used 1 $2 off Any Excedrin
Total After coupons $10.00 + $1.79 Tax=$ 11.79oop
I GOT $10 RR(from the robitussin)AND $3 ESC REBATE(for the excedrin)
So i kinda made like 21 cents

2nd transaction..

4 Tylenol Products @ $5 each=$20.00
Plus I bought a .50 filler item
Total before coupons=$20.50
Used 4-$1 off esc coupons -$4
Used 4-$1off man. coupons -$4
Used $10 in RR from 1st transaction
Total $2.50 + $1.74 Tax=$4.24 oop
Then I GOT another $10 RR(from the Tylenols)

3rd transaction..

1 One Touch Ultra 2 @ 19.99 each
1 Nutrisse hair color on sale for $7.00
1 Gariner shampoo on sale for $3.50
5 Walgreens hand Santizers @ 1.50 each=$7.50 total
1 Purell hand Santizer on sale for $2.19
Total before coupons=$40.18
Used the $20 One Touch Ultra Man. Coupon
The ESC -$3 on any Nutrisse hair color
man coupon for -$2 off a Nutrisse hair color
The ESC -$1.50 on any Nutrisse hair color
man coupon for -$1 off a Nutrisse hair color
My $1 off any Purell Product
and my $10 in RR
Total= 1.69 + $3.16 taxes=$4.85oop
And I got $10 rebate from the ESC(from the hand santizer)

All together paid= $20.88 and I will be getting $14.30 back from the ESC rebate($13 + 10% for gift card) So I'll end up spending $6.58 for everything

I didnt think that was too bad.. Im also going to send in the rebate on the One Touch Ultra 2 and maybe I can get an extra $20 back from them...?!??!

not TOO bad??!

Amanda that's GREAT for a first time! Heck, that's a great shopping day for a veteran! You've got it, girl! Go ahead and send in the rebate...you may get it, you may not, but it'll only cost you 41 cents to try, and after all you've saved today, I think you can spring for the stamp! LOL You did GREAT!!

As for organizing, lots of us use a notebook or binder with trading card sleeves or photo sleeves in them. Then we divide them up by categories: snacks, frozen foods, dairy, cereal, personal care, cleaning and baby are some of my categories. The sleeves are clear, so you can see what you've got with the flip of a page. I've found it's easier to clip and stuff at the same time. I used to clip all my coupons, then go back and stuff them in the sleeves, but that's just turned into a mess. So....get a notebook, some sleeves, a pair of scissors and go for it!

Congratulations!

I love how everyone is so encouraging on here. The other message boards I belong to, everyone is rude and not nice to anyone.

How can you not get excited about someone getting a great deal? Even if they got it, and you missed out, your turn will come around. No point getting angry or upset about it....that takes effort away from clipping coupons and finding deals!

Join the club! My husband rolls his eyes everytime I tell him about my deal of the day but secretly he loves the fact that I'm saving him so much money!! LOL However, once I told him Hobby Lobby had all their Christmas stuff marked WAY down, he called me from there the next day asking about which lights to buy! :P

My hubby thinks I am weird too until I come home with all the groceries and some beer and cigarettes for him and say all this cost me only $X. He likes it then! He is finally getting into the spirit once in a while!

My daughter rolls her eyes every time I pick her up from work and say "Guess what I got today and how much I spent!". Sometimes she even tells me "Don't tell me what you got yet. I just got off work and I can't really grasp it all right now." But she REALLY enjoyed me taking her to dinner last night since I saved so much throughout the day, I felt we could splurge a little.

Yeah, they may think we're crazy sometimes, but they sure do enjoy the perks of our NINJA shopping!

well i found a problem in my great deal

i guess i kinda messed up.. i should have bought that glucose mointer w/ my second trans. because i was getting all my stuff together for the easy saver catalog and i put my 1st receipt(for the Excedrin) and the 3rd receipt(for the hand santizers) and marked it in my book and all that

then

i got ready to TRY to send in for the One Touch Ultra 2 rebate, and i couldnt find my receipt. umm.. yeah that is because it w/ my esc getting ready to be mailed in for their rebate.. now i only have 1 receipt and 2 places that need my "orignal receipt"
what to do?

like i was saying if i would have rang it up ont he 2nd trans. i could have used it because i didnt need that receipt for the esc..

:?:
