Does anyone have any tips on organizing and storing things for our stockpiles? I have a small house, and my stockpile has now outgrown my guest bedroom. Help!

Luckily I have a hall cabinet that goes all the way up and is pretty deep too. I store all my stuff in there and in a bathroom cabinet. I ususally have to double stack everything and sometimes give some away to family and friends when ever they might do a favor and refuse to take payment they will NEVER turn away free stuff! :roll: Go figure huh?

Try a plastic tub and store it in your garage. As long as it's not too hot it should be fine. My garage is detached so I have to be careful about stuff like that. Have a garage sale and get rid of some of it. (call me if you do) :lol:

I ususally have a lot of H&B stockpiled (food NEVER lasts). :wink: We just take a lot of showers. LOL there are 6 of us here so we kinda go through quickly.

I used to store mine under the bed but hubby caught on and since we moved there is no under the bed...Now I use the hot water heater closet...very carefully. Top top cabinets in house once I got them open they had been painted shut forever and in boxes in the bedroom and behind the couches that are katty korner in my house. When hubby gets mad I tell him that most of it he said we "needed" Like 10 million hats and gloves!!

Hmmm.... where do I hide my stock pile stuff?

* I have an extra stand up freezer in the garage.
* My pantry is full.
* The shelf above the clothes rack in my closet contains cereal and juice keeping them out of reach of the young monger!
* There are many a cheap plastic shelving units in the basement that hide my extra cat food, electrasol, bulk toilet paper, paper towels and my stock of toothpastes and dish soaps.
* A plastic bucket in my linen closet hides my toothbrush and razor stock piles along with a shelf dedicated to shampoos, conditioners and shaving cream.

Long story short..... WHERE EVER I FIND ROOM! :D

Gosh, I have so many boxes of cereal right now, my pantry is so full. In my bathroom I store all my bathroom items, I have stacks of bounty and charmin in my garage, under the sink you can find electro sol dish washer tablets, (my hubby freaked when he saw all the boxes when he was installing a new dishwasher) I told him they were free then he calmed down a bit! Babies closet is stocked with diapers, pullups, lotions etc...

The way I see it, and the way we shop, our husbands cannot afford to gripe. :roll:

My husband complains that I buy too much stuff but when I came home Sunday and told him I left the store with stuff and more $ then I walked in with he was happy. That means I can shop in peace for a little while! He complains until he finds out I hvae whatever we need. Like him saying we ran out of razors (need more free ones soon) and I found an unopened free one!

I went to the store Sunday, once I got there I relized that my phone was dead! When I got home 3 hours later my hubby was mad he said that he kept tring to call and couldn't get ahold of me, he said that he was fixing to load the kids up and come find me! I started bring in all the groceries and household items and he just kept complaining about what all I bought, I just told him I had my coupons and needed to use some of them before they expired. He finally asked how much I spent and I told him after the coupons I only spent $30, needless to say he wasn't mad after I told him that. Sometimes I jus don't understand him, he complains about the coupons and how long I stay at the store, but then he will say we need to save more money! I am just like what the heck do you think I do all this for, I don't go and buy all this stuff just because, I buy it because it is saving us money. I don't think the men, or atleast mine, understand why we go through so much trouble to them they jsut see 25 cents off coupon and can't figure out how in the world it would be worth all that trouble just to get a quarter off something. But, then they don't complain when they see how much the bill was. I would love to give him a grocery list and send him to one gocery store and I take a list with coupons and go to another and just show him the comparison of how much he spend with out and how much I saved doing it my way :lol:

He actually likes to go with me sometimes believe it or not. I have a very strong personality and can manipulate him into doing anything. :wink:
