A friend at work is now 9 months pregnant. At her first ultrasound, they told her the baby's stomach wasn't developing. At the next ultrasound, they said the stomach was fine, but the baby has a cleft lip and possibly a cleft palate. Friday she had her third ultrasound and was told the baby's right side of his heart isn't developed like it should. She's been to different places for these ultrasounds, so it's not just a less-than-competent facility. She's due the first part of July. Please pray for her and her baby. The stress is really starting to get to her. She hasn't been back to work all week.

What is her name, I would like to pray for her personally. I know God will know exactly who I'm talking about though if I don't get it.

Her name is Shelley. She won't be back at work until after her maternity leave, probably sometime late in August. They have a cardiologist lined up for the baby, but her doctor is telling her not to worry too much about it. Ultrasounds aren't foolproof, and at the baby's age, they move around a lot, and things can get jumbled on the screen. So, there may not even be any problems...they just have to wait until he's born. Thank you guys for praying.

I hope everything is OK for her. I remember the stress I was under when I startd bedrest until the baby was born and while the baby was in the NICU. While not as serious as hers I know it is stressful.

I've not been on the site in a while....my computer is down at home so I have to borrow one to check up on things here! Shelley had Clark the end of June, and his heart is FINE!! Absolutely no defects or problems. However, his cleft palate is the worst his specialist has seen. Amazingly, he doesn't have to have a feeding tube, he's still able to take a bottle. His first surgery to repair that is October 15th. The doctors have told them he will have 15 surgeries by the time he's 18 years old. Shelley's decided this week not to come back to work. She found a retired RN to keep Clark that she could trust to care for him properly, but she has two other sons that need day care and after school care, and Clark's caregiver was in Yukon, and Shelley lives in the Midwest City/Choctaw area, and works in NE OKC. So, her paycheck would be going for day care and gas to get back and forth. If she doesn't work, the boys qualify for state insurance, and other benefits. They'll also be able to get SSI for Clark, since he has the disability. The family decided it would be better for the boys to be cared for at home, than for mom to be stressed at a job, and having someone else care for them during the day. Thank you all for praying for Shelley and her family. Sorry for the late update.
