Don't forget enfamil a little later you will get checks and a lot of time a free can or 2 of powdered milk. Parents choice sometimes gives you free powdered milk also.

If you want to save a ton of money among hundreds of other reasons, you should highly encourage her to breastfeed her baby! No better gift than the gift of mama's milk!

Breastfeeding is all well and good if you can but other option can be looked into also. I had surgery yesterday and I could not breastfeed for 24 hours! It is good to still keep formula on hand for emergencies!

i'm pretty sure she'll bottle feed, either way is fine with me, that'll be her choice, i will prepare for whatever comes my way lol..i think we finally agreed on what crib to get, i think what is the most exciting thing for me is that i never had much when my kids were babies, not like i have a lot now but i am in the position where i can spoil the baby ..just a little of course hehehe. I already started stocking up on diapers and wipes, can't wait till next month when we hopefully find out if it's a boy or girl so we can really get some shopping done

Well if it is a boy do not buy preemie clothes...well actually a ton of then are unisex so stay away from preemie clothes. I HOPE my son will be out of them by the time your grandbaby comes! He got weighed this morning and he is 9;b8oz and STILL in preemie clothes!!

We did the ultrasound today and they are pushing back her due date to October 31st. It's a boy. They said she looks like she's about 16 1/2 weeks along instead of the 19 as we were first told.

went with her to her first doc appt today...they are estimating due date to be october 8th. He tried to find the heartbeat and couldn't so he did an ultrasound to see what's going on , so i got to see the first image of my grandbaby = ) He saw the heart beating, and so far all we could tell were that it had 2 arms and legs and a head, guess that's a good start = )))
She'll find out next month if its a boy or a girl.

 Sounds like a great start to me!
