On Saturday while I was putting the baby in my van one of the construction workers at my friends business decided to scare me or tell me hello...I have no idea...and tapped my van door which slid into me and knocked me out of the van. I am not a tiny girl so I ungracefully flipped around and scrapped up my elbow, hit my hip and my head. I drove home mad as anything and washed up and went about my day although a little sore. Fast forward...
Saturday evening fever, headache from you know where, chills, cold sweat, vomitting, racing back and forth to the bathroom....all night.
Sunday can barely walk, still have the darned headache, fever (very high---even my baby touched me and said ouch hot), vomitting and all the other unpleasant swide effects of being very ill. I could not even keep down water or gatorade or even sleep.
Monday I feel even worse I am burning up, dizzier, vomitting, still have the unpleasant side effects and thern my right lower leg gets a red hot spot and starts swelling--not an isolated swelling but the whole lower portion. (Now this is most likely cellulitis (I hope it is and not another blood clot) BY the end of the day I am able to keep down a little gatorade. I still cannot sleep
Tuesday I am still ill but I try to make it into work and I make it until 12:20 and then I give up and head home to rest. Hubby decides I have been sick long enough and leaves me inside with a 2 year old who is going beserk since mommy is home and not playing with him. He stayed outside until 9pm. Good news is I am finally able to keep down a few crackers. I still cannot sleep from the pain my leg and head is in
Wednesday I am STILL sick..my leg is still swollen I still have a killer headache, upset stomach, vomitting, unpleasant side effects and I am getting dizzy spells again.

Please pray one of these free or low cost clinics call me back since I do NOT have health insurance and I annot afford to go to the ER.

I finally got into a free clinic on Friday where they have REAL doctors and a lab and everything for them to tell me I needed to go to the ER. I go to the ER to be told it ciould be cellulitis or a blood clot come back in the AM for a vascular study but in the mean time we will treat you for both. I go back this morning to find out I have cellulitis and superficial blood clots. I am supposed to basically be on bed rest until the swelling goes down. I go back Friday for another vascular study. I cannot do bed rest. I have to work.

Oh no Karen. How terrible. I pray that everything works out for you. Are you still at home resting? How is your leg and head doing? Is your hubby being cooperative? Tell him I will come and kick his bottom if he is not. (((hugs))))

I have been at work everyday since last Tuesday (although I left early then). When I went home last Tuesday hubby decided to work outside and left me inside with the baby all afternoon until 9:00pm. Not much resting being done then.

I have had my big kids with me since Friday (I picked them up earlier) and I took them to the ER with me. My oldest son stayed by my side the whole time. I advised him that swince I never left his side when he went in for his appendectomy he could spend the time with me. Hubby stayed in the waiting room with my middle son and the baby until I sent my oldest and told them to come back to my room.

Hubby wants me to relax when it suits him (after I make dinner and the dishes and change the babies diaper etc). I am trying to do everything I can not to stand but it is hard when kids (mainly hubby and 2 year old---my older kids will feed themselves) are crying hungry.

I cannot wait until vascular study this Friday. Hubby did note that leg was still SUPER swollen last night and maybe it hit him that I need to stay OFF the leg.

I have my oldest son bring the laptop to work and he can play on the laptop while I work and he runs stuff to and from my bosses offices so I can stay off it as much as possible here. I just cannot take pain pills and be at work.
