The front teeth actually do not feel as bad when they pull them as the other teeth. I had almost ALL my teeth pulled at the end of 2007. I went toothless for almost a year before we could afford partials for me. (It is not the end of the world--I was toothless at the Baby Shower Melissa had for me too!) I was told by various dentists that you should not get partials or dentures until a few moths after your teeth are pulled since your gums are swollen and they will not fit right. I have since obtained partials and feel better about my appearance but I needed the teeth pulled. I was pregnant and went to get a FREE cleaning with my pregnancy medicaid and they told me my teeth were infected and the infection could pass to the baby. My teeth broke years and years ago due to falling associated with seizures. I had most of my teeth pulled. Took 8 hours one day until I could not take it anymore and 4 hours another day for them to finish. It sucked! I recommend having warm bottled water, jello, mashed potatoes, etc. Soft non dairy foods that you can eat. They will not let you drink soda or through a straw and the warm water helps. You do need to eat before you go. I did not the first time and by the time I got home I was SICK! Remember I was pregnant and could only have 1/2 novacaine due to the baby. If I can go thru that you can go thru one or two teeth. It will be better without the pain. Good luck!
