I've been dragging my feet and because I had zero pain everything seemed fine. Until New Years day. I went to go to my parents and I wasn't even out of my diningroom and I got this really bad sharp pain. I took my pain meds and waited and the pain subsided. Well this past week has been bad. I am going to break down and make an appt mon and see whats up. I have the tooth that broke in Nov and I also have a front tooth that some plaque came off this past spring and I think its whats causing all this lightning like sharp pains.
I told the dh earlier if I can handle all the shots I've gotten in my spine and the 2 biopsies this past yr of my breast, I can survive a novacaine shot and possibly pulling the tooth. If its the front one we definitely will be getting a partial because I won't go toothless there if ya know what I mean.
Please pray the pain is tolerable till I get in to the dentist and strength to get my butt into the dentist lol.
Plus this cold weather isnt helping either. It's -4* with wind chill of -17. With the low supposed to get to -10[I know we will be close to -15 since we are up high and out in the boonies] plus wind chills of -25 or higher.
Someone want to wake me up when spring gets here??

The front teeth actually do not feel as bad when they pull them as the other teeth. I had almost ALL my teeth pulled at the end of 2007. I went toothless for almost a year before we could afford partials for me. (It is not the end of the world--I was toothless at the Baby Shower Melissa had for me too!) I was told by various dentists that you should not get partials or dentures until a few moths after your teeth are pulled since your gums are swollen and they will not fit right. I have since obtained partials and feel better about my appearance but I needed the teeth pulled. I was pregnant and went to get a FREE cleaning with my pregnancy medicaid and they told me my teeth were infected and the infection could pass to the baby. My teeth broke years and years ago due to falling associated with seizures. I had most of my teeth pulled. Took 8 hours one day until I could not take it anymore and 4 hours another day for them to finish. It sucked! I recommend having warm bottled water, jello, mashed potatoes, etc. Soft non dairy foods that you can eat. They will not let you drink soda or through a straw and the warm water helps. You do need to eat before you go. I did not the first time and by the time I got home I was SICK! Remember I was pregnant and could only have 1/2 novacaine due to the baby. If I can go thru that you can go thru one or two teeth. It will be better without the pain. Good luck!

I went to my drs today and we are trying antibiotics because I have all the symptoms of another sinus infection. And I almost forgot but 2 days after new years when the pain hit, I felt like I was coming down with strep. I know that burning feeling too well. that and I ached. then I was fine for a week or so then this, plus bloody nose and tightness in both cheeks and I had a fever of 100.7 today.
Now I'm sleepy. I haven't decided if i just send dh for my meds later or I go. I have a meeting at 6 to get into Avon leadership so maybe drop my scripts off and got to meeting. We'll see.
my mom has a partial and my dad has had dentures since I was a kid. I had braces when I was a kid and coming from working class family my dad made payments. He always told me when I was a teen and Id mouth off he could knock all my teeth out~he paid for them. Well new years he was having a fit and my mom said whats it to you she's old enuf to know what she has to do, and he said it again that he has alot of money tied up in my teeth. My db said I'll never live that down. My dad could be 80-90yrs old but he has money in my teeth.
