Hi, I'm a 68 year old retired grandfather and have just taken up couponing as a hobby.

The results have been thrilling and we have cut our grocery bills by at least 20% and we DO eat good.

Here's my plan.

I was buying sunday papers from three different cities every week at a cost of $4.50.

I always checked to make sure that they had coupons in them before I bought. I am an avid ebayer,

buy and sell. I searched "grocery coupons" and found them from all over the country for relatively

cheap prices. I ordered some and was delighted at the savings. Different areas get coupons of

different values for the same item. For example; Mt Olive pickle coupons in my paper were for .50

off while on the east coast they were getting a coupon for the same item at $1.00 off.

I have a daughter, a daughter in law and a neice. After I go through the packets of coupons that I

receive from ebay, I send the ones that I don't need to them. We have four families in four different

areas getting use of these coupons. I foot the small cost of buying and remailing the coupons, but

the satisfaction that I get when my kids call (all excited) and tell me that they saved $37 or $19 or

whatever on a grocery run is all I need.

We live in rural Oklahoma and as a retiree from the USAF do most of our shopping in the commisary.

Two of my kids live in the Dallas area and their shopping is wide-open, with double and triple

coupons.

Give ebay a try. The coasts seem to have higher value coupons.

My plan will cut four family's grocery bills by at least 20%, probably more.

Welcome and a word of caution.

When buying coupons from e-bay remember you open yourself up for the accidental purchase of fraudulent coupons. There are mean stupid people out there that enjoy ripping people off. If you purchase coupons and get printables or coupons that seem very very good that you have never seen before be sure to check http://www.cents-off.com and verify that they are not fraudulent counterfits. Manufacturers do not really like coupons to be sold. Actually you cannot "sell" coupons you pay for "their time in cutting, clipping, and locating the coupons you want and the price to ship them" It is just amazing how high the price gets when it is a HOT coupon

Sounds like a great plan.. check out our coupon swap section as well. I hate to see people have to pay for coupons. Good advise from Karen!
