Meat: 5 pkgs for $25 at 23rd & Rockwell store

The Homeland at 23rd and Rockwell is having a special on meat: 5 packages for $25. The packages that are included in the deal are marked with bright oranges stickers. When you buy 5 packages they'll be $5 each. You have to buy 5 in one transaction. If you don't buy 5 they will ring up regular price. This store is the only one doing this deal at this time. All kinds of meat were included: beef, chicken, & pork.

Here are some of the packages I saw:

- Red River Ranch beef (various cuts)
- Bar-S franks - three individual 1-lb packs shrink-wrapped together, or 5 of the smaller packs together
- State Fair corndogs - two 6-count boxes (total 12 corndogs)
- Farmland franks - three individual 1-lb packs shrink-wrapped together
- John Morrell cocktail sausages - two individual packs shrink-wrapped together
- various Hormel products
- deli sliced cheese 1.5 lb,
- chicken fryer quarters, 6-7 1lb packages, reg price .99/lb
- various other packages of meat packaged by their meat department.
There may have even been some sea-food items, I didn't look at everything.

These packages all had a meat department sticker on them, with regular prices ranging from $6 -$7.

I asked if coupons could be used, so she checked for me and they said Yes! coupons can be used. So I'm thinking there is the potential for some good deals, as I know there are coupons for some of those brands, particularly State fair, Red River Ranch, Farmland and Hormel. If you come up with a good scenario for this deal with coupons or try this deal, please share!

That is a great deal.....especially with the $2.00 RRR coupons! I'm here in Edmond but here's a scenario suggestion without being able to see exactly what they've got:

Buy (1) RRR item (you can only use one of these per day)
Buy (2) Hormel items
Buy (1) Pilgrims Pride
Buy (1) State Fair
Subtotal: $25.00

Use (1) RRR $2.00/1 http://bit.ly/9ER48b (-$2.00)

I stopped by Homeland again last night and got a chance to look again at the meat included in the deal. I did not see any seafood. The chicken was not Pilgrims pride, it did not have any kind of brand name on it. The Hormel items had the Always Tender label, so that coupon should be good.

Some other packages I saw were...
- Louis Rich ground turkey in 1lb rolls. I can't remember if there were 2 or 3 rolls per package.
- El Monterey Chimichangas
- El Monterey Burritos
- Bar-S Sausage
- Farmland sausage (links and rolls)
