someone sent this to me:

These are delicious and so easy. I've made 3 batches and packaged them in small cellophane bags with ribbons for little gifts this Christmas season. You could also pack them into pretty jars with bows if you'd rather.

1 lb of Pecan Halves

¼ cup Melted Butter

1 Tablespoon Chili Powder

1 teaspoon Salt

1 teaspoon dried Basil

1 teaspoon dried Oregano

1 teaspoon dried Thyme

½ teaspoon Onion Powder

¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder

¼ teaspoon ground Cayenne Pepper ( I used more like a little over a full teaspoon)

2 Tablespoons Sugar

Turn your slow cooker or crock pot on high. Mix all dry ingredients together in a small bowl.

Place the pecans, melted butter and mixture of dry ingredients in the slow cooker and stir until well blended. Cover. After 15 minutes reduce the temperature to low, continue to cook for 2 more hours, stirring occasionally.

Spread nuts on a cookie sheet to cool before packaging.
