So today I took off work and did some after Christmas shopping with CQ member "Queen Mum". We spent all day and wore ourselves out. First we went to Walmart. We walked down the isles and saw several couponers shopping with their binders, it was great. One of them  even pointed over at us and whispered "that one right there." I am hoping that was a good thing LOL. Maybe they recognized me from the news?

Anyways, we found some great bargains. Alot of the HBA gift sets were marked down  to $5.00. We did not get all of them even though we had a coupon for them. You know me I am so cheap LOL. Queen Mum said hey we have $1.00 coupons for those and I said yeah but I know I can still get them cheaper LOL. So we put them back on the shelf. We snagged some Gillette Fusion Razor sets, some Christmas ornaments, new sweater, and some tights for work. Paid with gift card.

We then ran to Target and did some shopping there! I got some cute Christmas ornaments, frosting, surge protectors, some goody hair products and a few other trinkets.  Paid with a gift card.

It was 2:00 and we still had not eaten lunch, so we headed to Olive Garden and also paid with a gift card. We stuffed ourselves and started to feel a nap comming on but quickly regained our energy and pushed on to more shopping.

We then headed to the mall so I could use my Brighton gift card where I got a new pair of earnings, sun glasses and a belt. Looked in a few more stores, grabbed some chinese and headed to the movie theaters inside the mall. Shows were starting late so we decided to grab some popcorn there and head to the redbox and rented Step Brothers for $1.08.

A big thank you to Queen Mum for taking a video with her new Flip Video of some of the items she bought and sharing it with us! Did you go shopping today? Let us know what deals and bargains you found! How did you spend the day after Christmas?

I scored some goodies at Target. Here is what I got.
Twin flannel sheet set -10 bucks
2 bottles Archer farms sparkling beverage- 3 bucks
stocking stuffers: 5 bucks each- beverage warmer, auto tire inflation pump with built in tire gauge and pump
a toy guitar- 7 bucks

I wanted to look some more but then got tired. I tried to look in Old Navy but the sale was okay there.

Wow – sounds like you guys had a very productive (and inexpensive!) day! I didn’t venture out today – I was a little frightened when I saw the main street totally full of traffic. I stayed home. Have a wonderful new year!

Sounds like fun! (I didn’t get to go out shopping until today.)

I was curious though how much Queen-Mum’s purchases totalled before she paid with a GC.

Well, you certainly made a “haul”…I was too chicken to venture out to the stores, but I’m going tomorrow to see if there’s anything left.
