Did you guys know that almost 49 millions people need to use food banks to feed their families? Did you also know that food bank donations usually fall off in the spring? Well Walmart is teaming up General Mills, ConAgra Foods, Kraft foods and Kellogg Company to help raise money and awareness to Fight Hunger.
Next time you are at Walmart check out products from selected manufactures that will help provide food for families in need. Their is also in-store signs to show you how to get involved through entering in product codes online, sharing a hashtag on Twitter or scanning a QR code.
You can also go to Walmart Fighing Hunger Facebook page to vote for 1 of the 200 communities hit hardest by unemployment. They are giving away 1 million dollars the winner and $50,000 to the next 20 communities. If your community is not on the list, you can pick the community of your family, friends or even the community of your favorite sports team. You can also check out how you can get involved in fighting hunger in your community.
