I absolutely love Florida ! Has anyone ever been to Kissimmee Florida? I have been seeing the vacation videos on TV and lots of talk about this place on the internet and decided to check it out. We try to do a family vacation every year and although we are going to Florida this year we won't get the chance to visit Kissimmee this time so I am just going to have to plan another trip back. There is something for everyone to do in Kissimmee no matter how old you are! There is old town historic shopping and if you are a car buff you just might see some exotic cars in the evening.

Kissimmee for Kids:

Want to bring the kids along? Check out all these fun ideas you can do with your kids!

Gatorland: Gatorland is a unique 110-acre theme park and wildlife preserve, you can see many animals here such as alligators, crocodiles, snakes and native birds all in there natural surroundings. They also feature animal encounters, live alligator wrestling, alligator shows and more, as well as a petting zoo and a miniature water park play area for children. It is a few miles north of the city of Kissimmee, beside the Hunter Creek Golf Course. ( For prices and park hours visigatorland.com )

Seaworld : If you are staying in Kissimmee, Seaworld is not to far away. My kids loved Seaworld! They have animal attractions, shows and rides. You will also want to check out Discovery Cove while you are there. For more information check Seaworld's website.

Of course Disney World is not to far away either!

Lets just call this next group "Kids at Heart"

I have been there…loved Sea World, didn’t care to much for gator land and loved Disney World. I am planning on taking my grandkids before they get to old to want to go someplace with their Nannie!!! P. s. if you go to Sea World don’t sit on the front row of any of their shows. You will get wet!!!

I’m from Orlando moved away about wow almost 20 years ago now…so funny to hear Kissimmee talked about like that…there use to be nothing there Gatorland…ha I thought they closed that place down. It is amazing what the tourist and Disneyworld have done to bring about all the growth!

I just came back from Kissimmee. We have gone there for the past four years. You can find deals if you look for them. My kids love the Pirate’s Cove mini golf course. If you get a hole in one you get a free token for a free game next time. The scoresheet also has a coupon for buy one/get one free so we went a couple of times. We even had an armadillo run across the green when putting on the first hole. It is a challenging course and my kids love it. It is right next to Olde Town on the main road.
