I plan my dinner menu around the weekly specials in the paper, freeze the extra for another meal and always use my coupons

What has helped me after I had my twins and on maternity leave, making slow cooker meals. I don’t have time to cook fancy meals so throwing items into a crock pot has helped me.

I try to organize all of my shopping into as few trips as possible (ideally 1) that way I have the rest of the time for other things.

I use a meal planning service (Relish Relish) so I don’t have to spend time planning and making a list. The site does it for me for a very reasonable price!

I use my crock pot for cooking a lot so I can prepare meals in the morning and then not worry about them until later. Thanks for the yummy giveaway!

We also use a lot of organizing tools to simplify our lives- calendar on the fridge, bill organizer, coupon organizer, etc. Saves a lot of time and headaches!

Keeping a consistent schedule with my son also helps us to keep it simple. He knows what to expect, when he is allowed snacks, when we go to school, playtime, etc.

My work schedule is in advance 2 months so we post all games and meetings and special events on the calander so we are always aware of what is coming up early. Also shop only 2 times a month and seperate the meats into meals and freaze with the vacume sealer and there is no left overs to have to worry about.

Whenever I make a large meal, usually a one-pot like chili, soup or spaghetti sauce, I freeze half of it in freezer bags. When I’m working I can come home and defrost a full meal in minutes.

I have a trash bag hanging right beside our regular trash can. Once recylcables are cleaned I can pop them in the bag. When it’s full my son carries it down to the bin. It makes it easier for the kids to recycle.

I email my schedule for two weeks to the babysitter so no one’s wires get crossed. It really helps aleviate confusion.

I simplify my life by training the kids to pick up after themselves. Then the house doesn’t get so messy. & I don’t need to do as much.
