Hi,
I subscribed hoping to win the bag of summer goodies;-)
My favorite summer memory is Mom and I of riding horses with our swimsuits on under our clothes. That way when we finished our ride, we would just strip and dive in the pool.

Hmmm….A memory from the past. I remember having so much fun swimming in a metal swimming pool my dad had built. It seemed so big at the time, It later became known as the fishing bait holder!!!

I remember going to the beach as a child in Newfoundland, Canada (where my mom was born and raised). The beach was made completely of stones (not a grain of sand to be found), and we were afraid to step out on it because we’d never seen such a thing in our lives. Eventually, we got used to it, then we discovered something really, really cool about the stone beach… you see the water up there is VERY COLD except for at the shallowest parts where it meets the shore, this means the stones that are not exposed to the sun (and are also exposed to the cold water) are very cold. Imagine my mother’s suprise when all 5 of us kids dug a deep hole and picked up two stones each, then we all laid them in the middle of her sun-warmed back (at the same time) while she slept. We thought she was going to kill us, or maybe Dad because he couldn’t stop laughing.
