If you’re new to CVS and don’t have any ECB from a previous shopping trip to use on the first transaction then the amount you pay will be your “seed money”. “Seed money” is the money you pay out of pocket to get your first Extra Care Bucks (ECB) to use on future purchases.
With this scenario we will be getting $12.48 in product for $6.48 (+ any applicable sales tax) with $6.00 in ECB to use later this week. That’s a savings of about 50%!
Last week we ended up with $4.00 in ECB which I will incorporate into this week’s scenario.
This is the shopping scenario for the 2 day ad that runs thru 12/24 and will be a single transaction. There will be another ad that starts 12/25 and the scenario will be larger so save your ECB from today for later this week – you’ll end up with a great deal!

Use $4.00 ECB from last week’s scenario
Final price: pay $6.48 + get $5.00 ECB (Schick) + $1.00 ECB (Crest – OralB)
This scenario is like getting a Schick razor and toothpaste (or toothbrush) for .48 after ECB!
