Understanding Extra Care Bucks (ECB) * Shopping CVS

If you’re new to CVS and don’t have any ECB from a previous shopping trip to use on the first transaction then the amount you pay will be your “seed money”. “Seed money” is the money you pay out of pocket to get your first Extra Care Bucks (ECB) to use on future purchases.
With this scenario we will be getting $38.43 in product for $10.45+ any applicable sales tax with $3.00 in ECB to use next week. That’s a savings of about 73%!
Last week we ended up with $2.99 in ECB which I will incorporate into this week’s scenario.
We Beauty Club members will have $23.98 in purchases towards our FREE $5.00 ECB!
Remember, you don’t have to do all the transactions in one day or even at the same store.

Use $2.99 ECB from last week
Final price: pay $6.98 + get $4 ECB (Almay) + $2 ECB (Rembrandt)
NOTE: If you find the remover marked with the $4.99 price your out of pocket will only be $4.98

Buy Starburst or Skittles Fun Size 7.3-oz. Lifesavers, Starburst Jelly Beans or Crazy Beans 13-14 oz. 2/$4.98

Buy Edge Shave Gel 7-oz. (no price listed) $3.49 at my store

Use $1.00/1 Edge 7-oz.+ SS 2-10 (exp. 3-24)

Subtotal: $12.00
Use (2) BOGO Free Moroccan Infusion (up to $5) RP 3-10
Use $4.99 ECB from transaction #2
Final price: pay $1.01 + get $3.00 ECB to use next week!
This scenario is like getting everything ( $38.43) for $7.45 after ECB or less if you find the cheaper priced Almay remover
