Understanding Extra Care Bucks (ECB) * Shopping CVS
Current CVS Deals
If you’re new to CVS and don’t have any ECB from a previous shopping trip to use on the first transaction then the amount you pay will be your “seed money”. “Seed money” is the money you pay out of pocket to get your first Extra Care Bucks (ECB) to use on future purchases.
With this scenario we will be getting $39.90 in product for $5.08(+ any applicable sales tax) with $4.00 in ECB to use next week. That’s a savings of about 87%!
Last week we ended up with $7.00 in ECB which I will incorporate into this week’s scenario.
We Beauty Club members will have $5.00 in purchases towards our FREE $5.00 ECB!
Remember, you don’t have to do all the transactions in one day or even at the same store.

Hello, I’m a newbie to couponing and am trying to understand the scenarios above. Since, I don’t have any ECB, what would my outcome look like? I tried calculating the first scenario, but I’m not getting it. Please help.
Thanks.
You would add $7 to the price you pay out of pocket in scenario number one. Anytime we list an amount paid with ECB if you do not have that ECB you need to replace it with cash.
