If you’re new to CVS and don’t have any ECB from a previous shopping trip to use on the first transaction then the amount you pay will be your “seed money”. “Seed money” is the money you pay out of pocket to get your first Extra Care Bucks (ECB) to use on future purchases.

With this scenario we will be getting $25.27 in product for $11.08 (+ any applicable sales tax) with $4.00 in ECB to use next week.

Buy (2) Colgate MaxFresh 2/$5.50
Subtotal: $12.32
Use Buy 2 Get 1 FREE 3 MUSKETEERS Bars
Use (2) .50/1 Suave Body Lotion RP 12-9
Use (2) $1.00/1 Colgate MaxFresh – CVS Reinventing Beauty mag.
Use $3.00 ECB from transaction #1
Final price: pay $5.13 + get $3.00 ECB
