I am so excited that Coupon Princess Shannon Snow and I will be driving to Tulsa this Saturday to participate in Downy's Touch of Comfort Days Charity Event! We will be passing out over 100 Quilt's donated by Downy to to children at The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis.
This hits close to home for me because my Great Grandmother would make quilts for me when I was little and I absolutely loved them. There is just something about a having a comfy quilt of your own to snuggle up with on those dreary days. I can't tell you have many emotions my grandmothers quilt has gotten me through. It gives me a feeling of comfort. Now that I have kids, my grandmother is taking scraps from my great-grandmothers material (she hass passed on) and makes quilts for my kids! They love them!
Here is some info about the event!:

In order to bring a little comfort and security back to some of these children, Downy fabric softener, in partnership with Quilts for Kids, Inc., has launched the Downy Touch of Comfort program. This program will deliver personalized, hand-made quilts to children staying in Children’s Miracle Network hospitals throughout the country, helping to give them a moment to smile during their tough times.
As a way for consumers to actively get involved in the program and help bring a touch of comfort to a child’s life, Downy invites consumers to take part in Tulsa’s first Downy Touch of Comfort Day. This day will allow consumers to see firsthand how a small and simple thing like delivering a handmade quilt can help brighten up a child’s day, turning otherwise difficult moments into a bit of comfort when they need it most.
