The internet community world can be tough. There are so many great wonderful blogs and message boards out there how do we participate in all of them ? I may not speak for all message board and blog owners but here at ConsumerQueen.Com its the members who make our site what it is. Without you there would be no CQ.Com.
Do you love all the contests that we are doing this year? Did you know you had your hand in all of those? Every time you reply to our blog or reply or post on our message board , companies take notice. They want to advertise and offer prizes to active websites. You may think “Oh I am just one person, it does not matter wether I participate or not. That is where you are wrong. It does matter. What if everyone thought like that? We would not have the site we have today. The more you participate the more prizes that will be offered and the more the site will grow which = more deals for you!
There are 2 kinds of members! Suckers and Investors!
Definitions:
1. Suckers: People who suck all the deals dry, reap the rewards but do not give back to the community itself. This only makes sites go down and really does not help you in the long run. People who do not post or reply. They miss out on making some great online friendships and the chance to help others.
2. Investors: People who participate in online communities. Members who Post and Reply. Members Active in all activities that promote and keep the community to stay free, including voting contests, referrals, social media including twitter, linking back, advertising etc.
In visiting more sites and talking to other blog owners I am seeing more “suckers” now days. People wanting to reap the rewards and win the contests but not giving back to the community they are cashing in on. There has even been talk about offering the contests to its “Core” members only and not just the ones who come out of the closet when a contest is posted only to dissapear again. This is what I have been hearing anyway.
I am fortunate to have a great core group who makes our site feel like an online family. They are so friendly and always willing to jump out and help others. As we get bigger I hope to see that core group grow.
So I ask you when you visit your faveorite online community are you a sucker or an Investor ?
