It’s a New Year and I needed to finish up a few reviews! I figured with all the sales going on now would be the perfect time! You may be purging and going through old stuff, maybe you are ready to replace your old items with new ones. I hope these reviews will help you!

Dirt Devil Gator Review-By Queen Mum :

Queen Mum here giving you the scoop on the Dirt Devil Gator 10.8V hand held vacuum.  First, let me say  how easy it is to use. Nothing to put together, just take it out of the box, charge the battery and you’re ready to vacuum!  It’s a powerful vacuum for it’s size.  I used  it on  both my office floor and in my car and it picked up very well.  I liked the fact that once charged it lasted through vacuuming my entire office and my car  without losing power.  This vacuum has some excellent features like a built in telescoping tool to get in to crevices that you just pull out when needed…..no hunting down and applying attachments!  It also has an “easy empty” feature…..just press the release buttons and the  front end swings open….you don’t have to touch the trash and there’s no risk of dirt flying everywhere like with vacuums you have to take apart to empty.  Bottom line: It’s a keeper!!

Review UPDATE/Frigidaire Appliances:

I just wanted to give you guys an update that my Appliances from Frigidaire are still going strong! Everything is working properly and I am still in love with them as they day I got them. When making a big purchase it’s sometimes hard to know if you will still love  it months after it’s in your home! I can definitely say these are worth the money!Which brings me to my next two reviews

JVC Everio GZ-MG680 Camcorder:

It took me a little longer for this one because I wanted to make sure I really had enough time to work out any glitches I was having etc. First of all let me say I am not ablogger who will automatically recieve a product and then turnaround two weeks later and give a review on an expensive item. It really depends on the product. I want to make sure my readers know what they are to be getting when making that purchase.

The picture quality was great and it has this new laser touch technology on the screen where you can scroll kinda like my Iphone. It makes browsing through indexes and menu selections much easier. It uses the same technology as GENESSA HD displays,this function outputs a 1o80 scanning line image at progressive 60fps so you can enjoy uncompromising picture quality  on a tv that accepts 1080p input. The camera is lightweight and has 120GB(28 hrs ) memory.It also has a 35x optical zoom and USB. Has a 2.7 LCD. I had a hard time figuring out the upload process at first but JVC Customer Service and PR are great about responding and helping! I will be trading out this one for the upcoming new one and will let you know how that one is very soon!

Dyson DC25 Animal :

Ok I have had this vacuum for a while now and I wanted to really make sure it worked and how long it would last before I gave you guys a review. I have had to many vacuums break after just a few short months! This vacuum is wonderful!  It comes with Ball Technology,Root Cyclone Technology and a Quick Draw Telescope Reach Wand.I love the fact that it has a see through canister and I don’t have to keep buying bags! With the clear canister you can see what the vacuum is sucking up, it even gets little fine particles! Just when I thought I got all the dirt up this powerful vacuum keeps finding more grime that had been pushed down in to the carpets by my other vacuums. You can then pop the canister out, take it outside to the garbage and click a button to empty it! The ball on the Dyson makes it easy to turn corners and move around furniture! Having 2 dogs and 1 cat I can tell you this is a great Vaccum to have! It’s also great for all floor types. The only trouble I had was learning how to lock it back into place when going from push mode to locking it in upright position when ready to store. Oscar Mayer Bacon:

When Oscar Mayer asked if they could send us some Super Thick Cut Applewood Smoked Bacon to try I couldn’t say yes fast enough.  The problem I have with most of the smoked bacon out there is that the smoke flavor over powers the bacon taste.  That is not the case with this!  The bacon had an unbelievable taste and the smoke flavor just inhanced it.  When cooking the bacon it didn’t “curl up”.  This is perfect if your having a BLT!  I will defintely be buying Oscar Mayer Applewood Smoked Bacon in the future.

I am so excited to help Pepsi with their Pepsi Refresh Project during SXSW!  The Pepsi Refresh project is part of an effort to push the world forward by funding great ideas.Pepsi is looking for the best Pro-Social Digital Idea(use technology to refresh the community) and one lucky SXSW attendee will win $50K to help with their project and each runner up will receive a $2,000 Global Giving Gift Card. The best part is ConsumerQueen.com has partnered with Pepsi and we are asking our readers to submit there idea here! I will be choosing the best idea submitted on my blog and will become the campaign manager for  you the “Idea Generator” winner.  I will be campaigning for the winner till the end of the contest and will be tweeting from SXSW the 13th the day the voting process opens . I will also have T-Shirts and Buttons to wear and Pass out at SXSW to help campaign for you! Of course there are rules…..

The Rules:

• Idea must be submitted by Sunday March 7th at midnight CST.
• Idea must come from a SXSW attendee.
• Projects must be carried out for Charitable, community, or educational purposes, and must have their entire impact within the United States or the District of Columbia.
• Projects must be capable of being completed within 12 months.
• Projects must provide a sufficient level of detail to show each of the specific activities that will be carried out.
• Projects must not principally benefit a specific individual,as opposed to the community.
• Projects must not violate any of the conditions in section 7.b of the application guidelines.
• Organizations must designate one individual to submit the application on its behalf.
• Applications may not use any copyrighted material without permission
• The idea does need to follow all of the PRP application guidelines, exceptions are of course application timing, grant amount and the categories.

Here are some tips for submissions:

1.  Projects with clear, tangible goals stand out. The best ideas articulate an unmet need, describe a clear plan for addressing that need, and show specific public-benefit outcomes to happen in the next year.

2. International activity. The Pepsi Refresh Project is currently limited to projects based in the U.S., with grant money spent in the U.S. and of benefit to communities here.

3. Logos in images or videos. You may choose to submit a video or image to go along with the grant application, thought it is not required. If you do choose to submit a video or image, third party logos or unlicensed images are not allowed in video submissions.

4. Music & video length. If you choose to have music in the optional video portion of your application, then you should only use music from our list of Creative Commons-approved tracks: www.good.is/cctracks. Videos should not exceed 3 minutes in length.

5. Public benefit. Projects must have a clear public benefit, and cannot be of benefit only to one or several individuals. In cases where your submission requires grant money for salary or overhead, you should stipulate why this is necessary and how the project will be of public benefit.

6. Religious or political advocacy.As the official guidelines specify, please be sure your idea does not directly involvepolitical or religious advocacy. Ideas from religious groups that articulate a clear public benefit and do not involvereligious advocacy are ok; those that specify advocacy will not be accepted.

7. Inventions. If you have an idea for an invention, you must provide enough detail to show how you can create a clear public benefit from your invention in the next 12 months, and you should include specific milestones in your application.

8. Non-profit affiliations. If your idea requires the support of a local government, non-profit or business, please specify whether they’ve agreed to collaborate with you in the event that your project receives a grant.

2000 Flushes Super Bowl Party
